I'd imagine Ed will start to fall behind as the week goes on so I wouldn't read too much into him being this high currently, this update only has one day of streaming included.
Has Ed got some more secret CDs to give him another week at the top :D

some fake cassettes now.

2 Calvin Harris & Ellie Goulding - Miracle

1 Ed Sheeran - Eyes Closed

After becoming Ed Sheeran’s 14th Number 1 single last week, Eyes Closed will have to defend its position at the top of the Official Singles Chart, as Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding fight to overtake it.

On Friday, Ed's newest single - produced by Max Martin, Shellback and Fred again.. - debuted at Number 1, ending Miley Cyrus' 10 week long reign with Flowers.

Ed now draws level with Cliff Richard and Westlife as the act with third-most chart-toppers in UK chart history. As it stands, only Elvis (21) and The Beatles (17) have more Number 1s.

Adding to that, Ed now also has the fifth-most Top 10 entries of any artist in Official Charts history. So it was a very impressive week overall.

But this could all change by Friday. As it stands at the midweek mark, less than 1,000 chart units stand between Eyes Closed (1) and Miracle (2) but who’s crowned the UK’s Number 1 single this Friday is up to you.

Mimi Webb’s Red Flags could claim a brand-new peak this week (11), while Jax Jones & Calum Scott’s Whistle (13), Mae Stephens’ If We Ever Broke Up (14) and Switch Disco & Ella Henderson’s React (15) could all see major lifts.

This week’s highest new entry could belong to BLACKPINK member Jisoo, who seeks to make her solo debut on the UK charts with Flower (23). She would become the first member of the girl group – also including Rosé, Jennie and Lisa - to score a solo Top 40 hit.

Jisoo's success with Flower could see a definitive turn of the tide in the UK's embrace of K-pop stars; on Friday, BTS member Jimin became the first member of the supergroup to claim a solo Top 10 single with Like Crazy.

Miracle

iTunes: #1

Spotify: #1

Apple: #1

Amazon: #1

It’s looking good for official #1 this week! :yahoo:

Eyes Closed

CDs: #1

but with that sales gap, Miracle should overtake overall

I'd say that is pretty much confirmed for Miracle to be #1 then - think it'll be a long runner too with the weather starting to get better too.
Looks like Calvin could dethrone Ed on Friday :cheer: I’m expecting that to happen as Calvin’s streaming is much stronger than Ed’s

Left the top 20 since Friday

8 - Like Crazy - Jimin

15 - All Of The Girls You Loved Before - Taylor Swift

18 - Escapism - Raye / 070 Shake

If this ongoing aberration with GGG isn't going to trigger a rethink of the reset rules, nothing ever will!

The thing about GGG is that it never would have been reset under current rules, the OCC gave it a reset for a completely crap reason (Brit nomination) so they must be very happy with the situation. Bet they love George Ezra.
