The Beyonce/Kendrick song added to HH

but no Lana :/

I think the Dua Barbie song could be huge. Swan Song flopped but Dua is a much much stronger position now, think she will be easily debut at #1. You reap what you sow, and Future Nostalgia was huge.

When last did a soundtrack single shake up the top of the charts? I don't wanna get my hopes up

Just two soundtrack singles his the Top 10 last year (not counting 'Encanto'): OneRepublic's I Ain't Worried and Rihanna's Lift Me Up.

Yeah just look at how big Sweetest Pie/ Potion was off the back of such a huge era

There is SO much more hype for the 'Barbie' movie than there ever was for 'Alita: Battle Angel'... that will play to it's favour and I'm fairly sure every year or so there are one or two major soundtrack songs that take off in the charts and as someone else said, Dua is in a MUCH stronger position now than she was when she released 'Swan Song'.

Before the song drops ofc, but I'd be surprised if it wasn't a big hit tbh. The 'Barbie' movie is ages away though  (21st July!) but that should time it well to avoid ACR if it's received well so could end up being a 12+ weeker.

We'll see though ofc. But I'm expecting major things.

I don’t think ‘As It Was’ will go to ACR at very least by autumn at this point: its consumption is flat, and any good weather will provoke people to go out and play “hits” on some standard Spotify playlist. Plus the tour.

I am only seeing posts that increase my confidence that the song is going to be labelled a flop no matter what.

Logic does not apply to soundtrack singles. Need I remind you all of 'Lift Me Up'. (then again, that song did better than it had any right to on its musical merit but still)

Why do you want your favourite artists to be criticised so much

? I am calling it out in advance because I don't want to see her labelled as a flop if she gets anything short of an 'easy #1'.

I'm not sure about an "easy #1" I was thinking it could be a gradual climber (but also, the numbers aren't *too* big right now so I wouldn't rule out a #1 at some point). A couple of weeks top 10 before stabilising in the top 15 for several weeks and as the hype for the 'Barbie' movie drums up, it starts ascending back inside the top 10 where it eventually peaks top 3 or something.

But ofc, this is just preempting before hearing anything of the song bar the 3-5 second clip of the instrumental.

What an odd thing to do

I actually think it's a perfectly normal thing to do that puts things into better perspective. The moment you realise someone is completely incapable of saying a critical thing (or a good thing!) about an artist, it's like showing too much of the hand and it's hard to take anything they say on the topic seriously.

And Tatto back to 3, really gives a real hit vibes.
Padam Padam is back in at #186!

Ooh didn't notice that, that's a good sign it could potentially be a hit for her - at least bigger than Say Something and Dancing anyway.

Nice climbs for most of Lewis’ album tracks today. ‘Haven’t You Ever Been In Love Before’ back into the top 50, looks like it could be a another long running hit for him

Loreen back up to #3... YESSS <3

SO happy to see 'Padam, Padam' re-enter. I can see it being a big hit for her. Not surprised it re-entered after the Sat & Sun streams. It entered at a decent position on debut and seems to have continued to receive hype in all the right places.

Sat & Sun releases are always skewed towards older (I mean songs that have been in the charts for a few weeks - not random Decade old ones lol) songs. I presume due to people just sticking on random playlists etc..
