I can't decide if I like 'Daylight' or not

Perhaps you love it and you hate it at the same time?

I would have said this about People.

I've seen "People" used in a lot of TikToks and stuff but yeah other than that, I guess not really.

Is miracle on acr next week

It had an increase last week and David Guetta remix is out today so no

miracle being a hit only in uk and ireland, lmao

guetta remix is out to boost a bit more

:teresa:

Now should’ve included this song on their 114th album. I’m surprised they didn’t seeing as they always tend to include Calvin

'People' has only just entered the chart for the first time in the US (and I believe 'Calm Down' is still gaining there too), there's life in them still.

Quite happy for Kushner to be missing #1, I'm still not really getting him, 'Daylight' is very run of the mill for me and not a big fan of his voice.

I like Miracle but would much prefer Daylight at #1, shame it came so close a couple of weeks ago but didn't quite manage it :(

Biography

Joel Corry

“Back Again” might seem like a strange title for a debut single, but not for Joel Corry: When the British DJ/producer dropped his first record in 2015, he was already well known to UK audiences from his appearances on the MTV reality show Geordie Shore. While that program captured its cast members’ romantic misadventures with tongue firmly in cheek, Corry has treated his musical career with far more seriousness, faithfully updating the sounds of classic house with a sleek contemporary touch. Born in London in 1989, Corry was just a boy when the slinky sounds of UK garage catapulted underground dance music into British pop around the turn of the millennium, but he brings the same crossover spirit to his own productions. While 2015’s “Back Again” and “Light It Up” flirted with big-room EDM, Corry looked to the past for his breakout hit, a 2019 cover of Monsta Boy’s 2000 UK garage classic “Sorry” that paired soulful vocals with crisp, jittery drum programming. He’s pursued a similar approach on subsequent singles like “Lonely” and “Head & Heart”, updating the piano chords and organ stabs of ’90s dance pop with 21st-century production values. While Corry’s timeless hooks are perfect for radio, he’s careful to always have something special for the dance floor. As he told Apple Music: “With all my records I like to do my own VIP mix”—that is, a club-ready version that’s a little tougher and heavier. With reality TV in the rearview, these days Corry’s simply keeping it real. - Apple Music

She is also a member of Loud LDN. - Wikipedia

Biography

Becky Hill

With an irrefutable aptitude for writing chart-smashing pop songs and a reputation as a pioneer in electronic music, BRIT Award-winning Becky Hill is one of Britain’s most in-demand music artists. Described by David Guetta as “one of the very rare queens of dance of music”, Becky has written and/or performed on 17x UK Top 40 singles, including five Top 10 singles and one UK #1, and amassed over 4 billion streams on Spotify alone. Her BPI certifications total 13x Platinum, 11x Gold and 14x Silver records, and she was the third most streamed British female solo artist on Spotify in 2021, behind only Dua Lipa and Adele. Her Gold selling debut studio album, ‘Only Honest On The Weekend’, released in August 2021 and peaked at #7 on the UK Albums Chart, spawning Platinum-selling UK #3 single ‘Remember’, which also ended the year as one of the most streamed and best-selling songs of 2021. Alongside her solo career, Becky has also collaborated with everyone from Rudimental to Little Simz over the last decade, as well as writing songs for and/or releasing with a whole range of artists; from dance titans like MK, Tiesto and Jax Jones right the way through to pop royalty in MNEK and Little Mix. - Spotify

Lewis Thompson

Lewis Thompson is about to step out of the shadows and into the light to become a huge name in UK dance music. Behind the scenes, the Leeds-based artist has worked with some of the biggest names in pop, writing and producing hits for Joel Corry ('Sorry', 'Bed', 'Out Out'), Little Mix (Kiss My (Uh Oh)'), Becky Hill ('Remember'), James Hype ('Afraid') and Digital Farm Animals ('Last Night'). Now, though, with an arsenal of his own feel-good dance-pop anthems ready to take the electronic world by storm, Lewis - who is also one half of the dance duo Just Kiddin’ - is ready to take the top billing. - Spotify

David only has one version of his song whereas Calvin has multiple versions of his song and releases one every week. Take away the multiple versions of the Calvin song and you’ll see who gets #1 then. The sooner he goes ACR, the better

Well perhaps if he cared enough, he could do the same thing?

Just a thought
