A sign that Spotify might up the support?

Wow! Well, they'd better not be using this song simply to get traction on Twitter. Clearly Spotify's social media team can see that Padam Padam has been a moment, so Spotify should do all they can to keep it going! I really, really, really want them to add it to Today's Top Hits. And it deserves a better spot on Hot Hits UK than 30th. It being Spotify UK's 24th most streamed song on Wednesday, but the top playlist only having it 30th - make it make sense.

Nice start of neon Nights. Padam padam down to 2 now overtaken by Leigh ann.

Thats a shame hun

I dont see LeAnne keeping the top spot for long so I have a good feeling Kylie will reclaim hun.

Truly holding all hope for today. We have given it our best shot the last few weeks but this last one has felt like a collective push and I hope the goodwill and effort has paid off big time.
Holds steady at #24 on Spotify with 153,291 streams

Wow thats really good.

Excited to see today and Saturday streams!

That’s brilliant! Someone on here claimed that it was plummeting right out of the top 40 again. I don’t know if it was the same person or a different person who also claimed that her record company had given up on the song in Australia.

Biggest day on Spotify yesterday with 688,412 streams.

I’m very curious how is it going to do tomorrow, as PP was getting a huge streaming surge specifically on Fridays.

Still 3 versions top 10 on itunes and streaming rising is all good for a 2nd week top 10, yes 2023 Kylie Minogue on track for a 2nd week top 10 is just like rewinding back the clock.

Let me explain this one more time.

First up, our charts are thursday to wednesday Midnight..our time

The streaming/sales for last thursday and friday were it's lowest since it's release and it was outside the top 100 by Friday night.

It then had amazing streaming that sent it back up to it's current position.

The Record company has not promoted the song in anyway over here.

On day two of the cd release it was unavailable for Australians to buy.

The same thing happened with the Cassettes.

Australians were left out altogether when more batches were released.

I know this for fact as I was unable to purchase as they were not there, when I went via a VPN in the UK I was able to purchase them (Buck palace and the queen vic are proud owners of padam padam :P)

All of the above make it quite clear (to me at least) that the record company turned their back on Australia.

I think its too early to say shes given up

Dont forget, I dont think they realised how big this song would actually be so I dont believe they were prepared for such a hit hun

They seemed to be on the back foot a little but they seem to be making uo for it.

I think the only reasons the physicals got released when they did were due to the top 10 potential and they wanted all the cassettes to go towards the UK charts. The uk only had its first performance of padam padam last week and even that was a last minute performance that wasnt initially scheduled. It only became an option after the song started to do well.

I’m with you on this one Carol - though of course we could be wrong.

We see so much on social media of people attacking record companies and radio stations, and publishing false information. For example, somebody pointed to the fact that Radio 1 didn’t tag Kylie in a post, as further proof of them being dismissive of her. This then get to take on his fact. We then get to find out that nobody can tag Kylie - but the ‘fact’ becomes embedded in our minds. Don’t get me wrong, I do completely agree that Radio 1 are avoiding Kylie because they feel that their listeners don’t want to hear her - but they are digging their heels, despite the fact that her song currently has broad appeal

I was expecting downloads to plummet - it seems the opposite!

On Twitter you have the option to tag accounts in an image you share, but some accounts don't have this feature turned on - including Kylie, so Radio 1 couldn't tag her in the picture!
