Posted May 27, 20232 yr So! Back in 2010, Taylor and Harry Styles, of then boyband fame, entered into a supposed relationship. The whole thing was SEEMINGLY a blast of luck: Taylor wasn't that big in Europe, and especially the UK, and 1D hadn't broken into the USA, and Cowell was desperate to make them the new Spice Girls, as he had missed our on them the first time. He would later go on to call that the biggest regret of his life. Anyway, they started an are they-aren't they tirade of press speculation with cleverly-planted leaks. Then, they were photgraphed together, etc. However, it lasted JUST long enough, coincidentally, to raise their profiles in the markets they were looking for breakout success in. Then, in DRAMATIC fashion, with perfect photos leaked to the press, Taylor FLED a holiday, a sort of last chance crisis holiday, and they had leaked that fact to the press. This happened after phoros of them looking dour together leaked, of course. With how fast it all happened, and how COINCIDENTAL that it came about just as each one was looking to break into the other's market, where the other was the biggest act amongst their shared demographic, was this relationship fake? Also, given that there is also a lot of evidence that Louis and Harry are in a relationship, and have married according to Cheesy Fad, can we basically now be certain that the "relationship" was just a fake showmance to crack music markets? I ssy yes. What do y'all say?

They started dating towards the end of 2012 (possibly in the Autumn, but the public didn't know about it until December 2012). They split up in early 2013! The album 'Red' had peaked at #1 in the UK in October 2012, preceded by a big hit single 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' (Top 5 in August 2012), so she certainly was big in the UK. One Direction cracked the US by March 2012, so the phenomenon was in full swing by the end of 2012. #factcheck!
