He's already with the Arsenal squad wherever it is that they are now for pre-season and when Arteta asked him to say a few words he said he was "looking forward to winning a few trophies"

I previously said in the 2022/23 Premier League thread that Arsenal would miss the top 4 in the 23/24 season but their squad is looking quite stacked now with the signings they've made and hardly anyone has left. If they don't challenge for the league title again it will be a failure for them definitely.

They've spent a fortune and probably have the 2nd best squad on paper now. They have to challenege for the league title again.

Interestingly they have also impressed hugely because of coaching and tactics as well as spending ££ for making the champions league and we wouldn’t have predicted this this time last year!

I don't know know, I thought they might get Top 4 last year. They've done well to take a place (helped a lot by Chelsea and Liverpool's implosion) and are building from a position of strength. Pressure is on this season though! A bad start and there will be kittens.
