You did a graph a while ago showing how Flowers’ trajectory was similar to Drivers License? Well Flowers has now way outlasted DL. Another comparison is Boy’s A Liar which was very closely challenging it for Number 1 at one point and now the gap is huge. Flowers did drop quite quickly from its peak but its staying power over the last few months has been very impressive.

I'm just looking at it now, and it's actually still on a similar pace. "Flowers" looks to drop below 1.3M on its 24th week, but "drivers license" kept above that until its 25th week. Suspect "Flowers" could catch up after the fact (Olivia's album was later in the timeline so that helped more), but I think it still stands as an apt comparison for now.

From what I see Nicki is doing great in the US so far, Dua is doing better in the UK so maybe they don't "overshadow" each other and just appeal to different markets?

I like Vampire on 1st listen, don't super love it but think it's a grower

I like that she didn't do Drivers Licence part 2 and this is a sorta progression from the Sour album

 

Doesn't sound like other songs to me, unlike most of her early singles

like Deja Vu was basically Taylor's Cruel Summer and Good 4 U was Paramore

I know the part you mean for 'Cruel Summer', but I always thought 'Deja Vu' was apeing Lorde the most.
