Dave & Central Cee are challenged by J Hus' latest track Who Told You featuring Drake for the #1 spot. New releases include Sam Smith & Madonna's collaboration VULGAR, BTS with Take Two and Noah Kahan with Drunk Dial, plus tracks from Nathan Dawe/Joel Corry/Ella Henderson, ROSALÍA, PinkPantheress, Romy, Yungblud and Shawn Mendes

Niall Horan could score his second #1 with The Show, contending with McFly's Power To Play and James' orchestrated hits set Be Opened By The Wonderful. A busy week of releases includes Christine And The Queens' latest record Paranoia Angels True Love, Squid's sophomore LP O Monolith and Janelle Monae's return with The Age of Pleasure. There's also new albums from Extreme, King Krule, Dream Wife, Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit, Jenny Lewis, Amaarae, This Is The Kit, Rob Grant, Gengahr, Keaton Henson, Kenny Mason, Jayda G and Conor Maynard

Breakdown of the week

- Saturday: Some information may be posted on social media but it is likely to be missing most streaming data and is unrepresentative.

- Sunday: Official First Look Chart on Radio 1 from 6-7pm. Please do not post spoilers on the forum in advance as this ruins the countdown for any listeners.

- Monday: OCC Top 100 from 5:45pm

- Tuesday: Top 40 update as and when we receive them with requests, this is NOT 100% guaranteed however. The OCC may publish sales flashes of their own accord but likewise, this is not guaranteed. Twitter and social media is your friend for today. Please post any information you find with a source. Do not nag for updates, we will post a top 40 update if we receive one.

- Wednesday: Top 40 update from Music Week from 5:45, and potential top 5 sales but this is not guaranteed.

- Thursday: See Tuesday.

Other notes (please read)

- You may make requests Tuesday to Thursday but outside the top 40, specific positions will not be revealed (unless deemed necessary by a mod).

- Please do not demand a midweek update, one will be posted as and when we receive the information. Patience is a virtue.

- Sales information will be given out as deemed necessary by a moderator, please bear this in mind when making requests. Most requests for sales will be ignored. Any chart requests between No. 41 to 100 will not be answered after Monday's update.

- To keep everyone in the loop of all chart action, please refer to the iTunes and Spotify threads.

hoping Squid can get a decent result this week, think another top 10 is gonna be a tall order tho unless it can sell close to what Bright Green Field did (also hoping for Christine to do well, but again don't rly have high expectations)

McFly opened with around 20k with their last album but the new songs are a bit of a change of sound and I don't feel like they've been particularly well received so I don't really know what to expect this time around. Anyone know what Niall opened with last time?

Niall's last one debuted with 14.3k. I have a feeling he may do a little better this time (based on 'Heaven' being a slightly bigger and more stable hit than 'Nice To Meet Ya').

Tentacles crossed for Squid to get top 10 again (their debut did 7.9k first week).

Honestly, this change of direction is laughable - as is the lyrics they are trying to peddle!

First Look in just under 15! Time to prepare yourself for Radio 1 possibly skipping Kylie tonight x

Can you imagine if they did it again?!

JustCarolHoney will be FURIOUS!

Edit: Pun not intended!

First Look in just under 15! Time to prepare yourself for Radio 1 possibly skipping Kylie tonight x

The drama continues.

There will be riots if they skip lol

I will be chaining myself outside radio 1 headquarters

The onslaught they received online for this, surely it must not be worth the agro and just play it this time? 😅
