Last week's results:

Thank you to everyone who voted in the poll last week, Kath is kinda busy/has a hot date with BJSC- so I'm helping with the ETotW poll for this week. Congratulations to Victor Watel aka French DJ Panteros666 who teamed up with Canadian DJ Zorza for “Ultra Ray” and secured the most votes last week to win Week 22's poll. It was another close race with Kiara Scuro and LSDXOXO joint runners-up ending just 1 vote behind.

We also finally have a result for the Week 20 poll which resulted in a very narrow 6-5 win for Dublin's Krystal Klear.

The euphoric crowd favourite serves as the first glimpse into the second collaborative project between KETTAMA and S.C.D.D. and is the start of what is set to be KETTAMA’s most exciting project to date. Strap in

03 // Kelvin Krash “Promise You’ll Wait”

Release: 07 June 2023

Bio: Kelvin Krash grew up infatuated by grime and underground sounds, tuning in to pirate radio from his home in Willesden, North-West London. Zeroing in on beats, he rapidly gained a stellar reputation across London, twisting established tropes into fresh sounds. He’s worked with A$AP Rocky, had his music picked up by Playboi Carti, and Kelvin has had a hand in producing tracks by everyone from Skepta and Jeshi through to Swedish House Mafia.

New single ‘Promise You’ll Wait’ charges into fresh territory, a boundary-less slice of club-focussed electronics. Removing genre tags from his work, Kelvin Krash relishes creative freedom, imbuing his music with an incredible sense of light.

Kelvin Krash shares…

“What’s your idea of an ideal life, one that you can’t live without? In most cases you’ll have to make sacrifices to reach that point — you’ll have to put yourself first. Whether you’re chasing your dreams, a change, an acceleration in your career, or simply just finding happiness. You may find yourself leaving your peers and loved ones behind to do so. But you’ll be back, eventually, I promise.”

04 // Anz “Clearly Rushing”

Release: 06 June 2023

Bio: Anz is a DJ and Producer based in Manchester. Renowned for her genre-spanning productions and mixes, she unearths the links between Electro, UK Garage, Jungle and more, underpinning a versatile take on contemporary UK club music that is as bright as it is unpredictable. Returning for her second release on Hessle Audio with 'Clearly Rushing', where jagged arpeggios gel with a pumping breakbeat and heady risers for maximum dancefloor impact. The track has been a staple in both her and the Hessle Audio co-founders' recent DJ sets , providing many peak time moments and frenzied ID requests.

05 // Prayer “Set Me Free”

Release: 02 June 2023

Bio: London-based producer Prayer is set to release a 3-track EP titled "Io" on Rua Sound's SPHERES series. Following previous releases on esteemed imprints such as Hooversound, Black Acre, Grade 10, and Cult Music, Prayer is known for creating atmospheric jungle with an emotive energy that can range from poignant to ecstatic.

Prayer flexes that muscle on opening track 'Set Me Free' with layers of vocals over euphoric breakbeats.

06 // Robert Babicz “The Last Soul”

Release: 02 June 2023

Bio: Now based in Malta, Polish electronic producer and DJ Robert Babicz has been releasing tracks for over 3 decades which span many genres of electronic music from techno, to acid house. Robert Babicz steps back into the captain's seat for Kelch no. 6. Opening on a high note, The Last Soul takes us on a voyage through of a thousand leagues of evolving synth lines and melodies, while on the flip, Robert further explores his aquatic side with Baby Octopus, surely inspired by the golden shores of sunny Malta, where he currently spends most of his time tinkering with new music. In characteristic style, the song is an unrelenting forward driving tech house stomper, perfect for those warm summer nights to come.

07 // David Strasser “Final Call”

Release date: 17 March 2023***

Bio: David Strasser is a German DJ and producer - his debut EP Absinth came out last year and from recent EP Sintra, the final cut “Final Call” is a track I meant to send to uhsting’s BIG DROP Club Bizarre but forgot/was too late - anywhere here it is!

08 // Saoirse “RM 1”

Release date: 6 June 2023

Bio: Saoirse’s first foray into the field of electronic music came at a very young age, accompanying her mother to free parties and raves in her home country of Ireland. It was at these parties that her young ears began to make sense of the sounds from the likes of Leftfield, Fluke & Orbital and a close allegiance to electronic music was forged. It wasn’t long before every last penny was being spent on vinyl and every spare hour spent digging for records old and new.

'RM 1' is the lead track from Saoirse's 'fabric presents' compilation out in July. 'RM 1' is dedicated to the countless hours the Dublin-born raver Saoirse has spent in that iconic fabric room behind and in front of the decks.

If a dance forum mod could please pin this and un-pin last week's vote and close that poll. Thank you. <3

Ty Doctor B for doing it this week ❤️ (this should happen more often tbh) + that recap video *.*

Here's the Spotify playlist:

Missing: Robert Babicz

Voted for Prayer! I'm a sucker for a euphoric breakbeat track and it's the one I'm going back to the most out of the contenders this week

This week's observations;

1. Prayer – Set Me Free [This seemed to standout for me this week in a good way]

2. David Strasser – Final Call [A close contender for the win this week, but I will put it second]

3. Glimji – Flicker [Quite liked this production, very sleek]

4. Robert Babicz – The Last Soul [A bit of a slow build up, but once it got going it was alright, shame not on Spotify]

5. Anz – Clearly Rushing [Is this video game music, it sounded nostalgic like a hidden dungeon level on Super Mario Bros]

6. Kelvin Krash – Promise You’ll Wait [This was reminding me of another song I heard in these polls recently but can't recall]

7. KETTAMA – Feeling Emotions [Decent albeit a bit repetitive]

8. Saoirse – RM 1 [Not sure if it was because this was played last, but it seemed like the weakest offering this week]
