Well we know she has shot a video so i guess it is for Hold On To Now and i guess it will come out after Tension 10 week non ACR run and in time for LA promo and An Audience With?

Personally Hands is the one to really push as a single at some point and onto radio

Wasnt HOTN supposed to be featured in that new Netflix Show The Residence she was playing a cameo in ?I know its been delayed because of actors strikes so that would be a shame if that was a big bit of promo campaign for them

I am talking from a commerical streaming point rather than a fan favourite. i am all for commercial success etc. Fans can and will listen to her on any album without needing to be pushed. She has done so well with PP and Tension to attract new fans, she needs to continue this.
Bringing up Hands in the Hold On To Now topic is sacrilegious!

This - decent song but needs to remain an album track.

When I was with my friend the other day in his car, playing the album, he skipped Hands after maybe 30 seconds… so in my book that means it has failed the General Public test

On the other hand he loved Hold on to Now! #nextsingleplease

i am looking at Hands as a album extension strategy. but to be honest i am all here for album to sell 100k and focus instead on getting 6 top 40 singles. then get some features on other peoples songs in 2024 lol

Hold On To Now is fine for a week in top 40 based on physicals but cant see it getting on playlists of many playlists (its already had that moment on album release week) unless it is the song where she is going to collab with someone but do you think that would happen?

Six Top 40 singles? I think we could count ourselves very lucky if it even grows to being three!

Honestly, I'm relaxed about whatever the rest of the era holds for us (commercially speaking). Nowadays, for pretty much every artist, it's all about the build up to album release and week 1. Then whatever follows is a bonus.

Post-album singles charting well for Kylie is a bit "pie in the sky". It's why I'd rather Hold On To Now become an official single, because she's clearly so passionate about it, and it's a fantastic song that would be a glorious addition to her singles run. Even if it didn't get many playlists and didn't re-enter the Top 100, I feel like... it doesn't matter?

Completely agree. Kylie has already done us so proud this era.

Hold On To Now just sums up how I feel about Kylie in 2023. It’d be perfect as the next single.

Yep why not they have the formula to produce 6 top 40 singles

They have 2 top 20s and 3 top 100s so far.

It may not be commercially for money etc but singles/remixes/features are how you increase streams and playlistings aimed at dance, club, gym, playlists etc

This for me, would love to think that HOTN if they went for it with physicals etc., could snatch a #38 re-entry but equally if it done nothing then so be it, even the biggest/current stars struggle with post album singles.

This era has already achieved more than the last decade - 2 consecutive Top 20 hits, a current album track going Top 100, topped off with a #1 well received and reviewed album.

I don't think even Kylie fans will rush buy the vinyl/cassette of the 6th single.

You say that, but keep in mind you're talking about a group of fans who would probably even buy toilet paper with her name on it!

I think when you have a fanbase of an artist who’s been around for 35+ years and many people have collected everything then a CD single or cassette certainly won’t make them break their collection.

If she released a CD and cassette of every album track individually I’d personally buy them all!

If Kylie could get hold onto now into the top 40 even for 1 week at number 40 i would be very happy with this era, i think its a song that deserves to make the top 40, after that if she managed 1 more top 100 from this album i would say its been a very very successful run for Kylie.
