Is this the 2nd single?

More importantly, Kylie in the Indian interview said one of the songs was a love child of 2 other BiffCo songs.

Was she referring to “Hold on to now”

And are the 2 other songs LAFS and “The one”?

I think whatever the 2nd single is it can debut in the UK top 40 by using the same strategy as Padam Padam.

Release both versions from both digital albums on itunes, fans will buy twice. Release video straight away on YouTube. Release on a Friday. Get a high placing onNMF playlists. Fans stream heavily the first week.

That should be enough to sneak top 40

Then a 3rd single released the week before the album and use the same strategy .

3 top 40 hits from the album.

CHANGE TO TENSION QUEEN

Apart from being allergic to releasing single on Thursday, this woman is actually allergic to releasing album-titled track.

Yes she always avoids releasing the title track for some reason and on some occasions they have been among the strongest songs on the album. I know they wont but ideally the 2nd single will get a Friday release, im not holding out hopes for a 2nd hit but i will remain hopeful it can happen, even if she can get another top 40 from this album id be very happy with that.
I like hold onto now and prefer it to padam. Her voice sounds better on it and it’s a good pop song. I’m intrigued to see how this will perform but can’t see it doing as well as padam.
Kylie would be extremely lucky to get a 2nd hit on the same size as padam padam but you never know, i never expected padam padam to become the hit it is so anything can happen.

In this streaming era, very few pop Acts seem to score a 2nd big radio hit

Think this too - she will have brought back lapsed fans and new listeners with PP, and I think the fact she’s proved she can have a hit single will give her more backing than normal.

I don’t for one minute think the follow ups will be anywhere near as big as PP but could easily see the follow up sneaking low Top 40.

I do think that this would have been released already if 'Padam Padam' didn't become a surprise top 10 smash hit.

I'm not so sure, the album is still a very long time away and the gap between 'Say Something' and 'Magic' was 2 months - 'Padam' isn't even 2 months old yet!

I love Hold On to Now so much!

Yes, it isn't as cool as Padam Padam, it hardly brings anything new to the table and it sounds like classic Kylie (in the vein of All the Lovers), but it isn't necessarily a bad thing. It's still a fantastic & addictive tune. :music:

Hold on to now is more instant and kinda like a typical classic Kylie song. It’s not as good as all the lovers which people have compared it to. Will be interesting to see how it performs on the back of the success of padam.
I heard Tension is next
