July 17, 20232 yr Is there ever a week where Becky Hill or Ella Henderson don't release a song?
July 17, 20232 yr Loreen has hit ACR then - but #54 aint bad! Well finally 'As It Was' is on ACR too but still holding on to top 40. Top 10 is really impressive for Billie Eilish, as her imperial phase is arguably over, and the track isn't particularly commercial (although not as quite as leftfield as 'TV'/'30th'). And it's holding nicely on Spotify.
July 17, 20232 yr Didn't the last 2 rerecord only spend a few weeks high up before dropping significantly, though Yes, but it has had a very steep dropoff even considering! So far this year the first week streaming sales for #1 albums has been a pretty good baseline estimate for 2nd week total sales, Taylor did 23.6k streams last week so I was assuming she should do at least 20k total this week but looks like she'll be falling quite far short of that. I guess it is a bit more of a fanbase release than the typical new studio album since it's (almost) all old songs so makes sense that it'd be a bit more frontloaded tbf.
July 17, 20232 yr I know its only a live album but i was expecting a much higher start for 5 seconds of summer.
July 17, 20232 yr Excited for SOVUDUWRISOMINOVIGEBROPHESTURAKESLIRAJACROVOJOSTEGACIRODRUVORIWITIMIDROMI to finally have their first top 100 hit single, about damn time!! :cheer: Screaming! Lauren Spencer Smith grabbing attention any way she can
July 17, 20232 yr 41,509 ORA [01] 18,496 Phoenix [11] Obviously context needed for both - ORA was 11 years ago when sales were higher and Phoenix was in Q4! And both when she got supported with her single releases, the new one hasn't had a great deal of that sadly.
July 17, 20232 yr Wonder if this will chart this week, just announced and out tomorrow! @1681071360561528832
July 17, 20232 yr We actually have the first draft of the lyrics for this :o I think it sounds like an HIT :music: : Will.I.Am in affected British accent: Oh, hello, it's me, William, but people like to segment my name Into its constituent parts, creating three words from one, Like an anagram. Now I was in the UK the other day and I saw One of those yellow car sign thingiesz as you Brits say, On the roads I was perusing One of those big plastic yellow car sign thingies as you Brits say, On the roads I was perusing Well! I almost crashed my car qith the steering wheel on the right! It looked luke a terodactyl, a right old sight! I then found a Snickers bar in the Cadbury's Whisper, Whisper Gold and Yorkie bar tub in the iamspamspamami Well, I do say I was shocked, So I reached for the Snickers, the best treat around Song is sponsored by Cadburys FM, When some rude twat said, oh I say, How uncouth, to grab the wrong delicacy placed in the tub by erroneous action! One must throw it out and have just the Whispers, Whispers Gold and Yorkies. So then I thought to myself, I need a Britisher to handle this for me, Ans who better rhan Queen of the Brits, Queen Britney?! And she comes and she says, Mind your own business, BITCH!! You are now rocking out To Will.I.Am And Britney, Bitch!! Mind your own business, bitch Britney: oooh, I'm calling in on my mobiiilleee, Oooh ooh ooh, But my voice is so hoarse cos I jist had ten bevvies And was a bantosaurus rex in Nando's Oooooohhoooh Ans now I'm just callin in to say to you Mind your own business, bitch Or I'll call you a lump of poo! From down my mobile Oooh (That's dooty in British) You are now rockinf out To Will.I.Am And Britney, Bitch! Will.i.am: Some chavs when I was walking down the street Tried to beat Me like a piece of meat Because I was wearing Prada and not Nike So I got Britnwy on my mobile And she said Britney on mobile: Mind your own business, bitch! I then did a kickabout But they shouted because I carried the ball But why's it called foorball If you can't carry the ball?! And went down the A19 to Swansea A police man told me to turn off ma hazard lights But they just look so pretty So I got Britney to phone him And she said, Mind your own business, bitch! I then went to Asda and repainted the signs to say Wal*Mart And when they told me to go I phoned Britney and she said... We will shop in Lidl and Aldi We can do what we like Mind your own business, bitch!
July 17, 20232 yr I'm actually shook Rita Ora is that high considering there's been no hit singles from it - I was predicting a low top 20 opening for her! Although I do wonder if she'll enter at #11 again after Joseph spends all week assuring us that it's safe for top ten x :)
July 18, 20232 yr Absolutely here for Rush and Disconnect to debut in the top 30 and hopefully both go on to climb higher.
July 18, 20232 yr Is there ever a week where Becky Hill or Ella Henderson don't release a song? :cheeseblock:
July 18, 20232 yr Is Joel Corry's "album" essentially just a streaming playlist consisting of all his releases so far?
July 18, 20232 yr Yes. It is actually available to download as an album but I suspect the vast majority of its “sales” are playlist streams rather than anyone listening to the collation from front to back (or actually buying it off itunes)
July 18, 20232 yr Yes. It is actually available to download as an album but I suspect the vast majority of its “sales” are playlist streams rather than anyone listening to the collation from front to back (or actually buying it off itunes) Is it on iTunes and what’s it called? EDIT: it is on iTunes and it’s called Another Friday Night Edited July 18, 20232 yr by Hadji
July 18, 20232 yr Weird that Joel's 'album' isn't available as an album with its own page on Spotify etc. So is just charting due to the availability of the download album (probably under 10 sales), with the streams from the Spotify playlist attributed.
July 18, 20232 yr I guess there's not really any functional difference between uploading it to Spotify as a playlist vs. as a proper album apart from maybe being a bit less visible (although I doubt many people would be going out of their way to listen to a Joel Corry album all the way through anyway). Aside, just realised I didn't check the top 100s yesterday. Lol at that Lauren Spencer Smith artist name garbling making it into the midweek chart... I can understand to some degree them not proofreading the low ends of the sales chart but surely if the song makes the top 100 this week someone at the website has to notice that error before publishing? Also a shame Disclosure's album is so low but I guess it must not have a physical release yet so hopefully will get a decent position if/when that happens. Will be good if 'Pop 2' can finally get a chart position, I take it that has a new physical release? 'Sprinter' is very marginally up from its Monday midweek figure from last week - that tiny increase could be the difference between it getting to 10+ weeks at #1 or not. Also glad to see 'Anti-Hero' has re-overtaken 'Karma' for now to block that returning x
