I think the Young Fathers album would be pretty up your street as well if you've not heard!

I haven't but will definitely check it out, thanks!

This is being revealed tonight - think I'm going to tune into the coverage on BBC 4, first time I have done so x

Jockstrap are the favourites to win on OddsChecker, would be here for that. Loyle Carner, Lankum and Young Fathers all up there in the odds too.

Live result on BBC Four from 9pm.

Even tho they did already win it in 2014, I really want Young Fathers to do this. Their set at Glastonbury was incredible.. “Shame” being dedicated to Suella Braverman. *.*

They performed an amazing rendition of “I Saw” apparently. Although I'd also be v happy with a Shygirl win, she's just been intervewed over on 6Music and revealed that she's working on a new album already potentially ready in 6 months!

I'm hoping for one of Young Fathers, ShyGirl, Jessie Ware, Loyle Carner, RAYE or Jockstrap in the order I've listed them...
Really enjoying this Ezra Collective performance - I think the only song I've heard from them before was their Sampa The Great collab but I should check out more based on this x
I checked out all of the albums nominated in the lead up to this and Jockstrap was my favourite of the ones I hadn't already heard, so would be happy for them to win if not Shygirl or Young Fathers.

Lankum doing 'Go Dig My Grave' *.* intensity was intensified. Great performances from Jockstrap and Young Fathers too and I enjoyed this Olivia Dean track more than previous songs I've heard from her. RAYE is putting in a great performance although not one of my favourite songs from her ('The Thrill Is Gone.')

I was laughing a bit internally about this presenter being much less enthusiastic about introducing J Hus than everyone else. Looked like she was reading a script and didn't know what she was talking about. :kink:

Ezra Collective!!!

Didn't see that one coming... but also haven't yet heard it - will definitely need to give it a listen now

Finally them actually giving the award to the obligatory token jazz nomination!

Honestly their performance may have been my favourite of the night, they have a really infectious energy as a live act, so well deserved. (I like that the song they did was called 'Victory Dance', they really manifested it :cheeseblock:)

It's very 'Pages From Ceefax-core'... but I did like a couple of the singles that 6Music were playing over recent years! Congrats to them tho, an incredible achievement against such strong competition.

Bravo to Ezra Collective, had to be the token jazz nomination eventually! I like what I've heard of them on 6Music and their performance was excellent, a great moment for a less prominent genre in the mainstream.

Hearing Go Dig My Grave live on BBC is a bit of a moment *.* Been a long time since one of my song contest entries got that exposure! Didn't expect them to win, but great that they were up, it's a fantastic album with a range of takes on traditional folk that are always interesting.

Really interested to check out Jockstrap, great performance and their experimentation seem like my cup of tea x
