Knockoff is pretty good and Poppy has been on a roll lately, eapecially the more divisive ones. Contemporary Love on the other hand is one of the weakest Reve songs unforch. I was thinking two other songs to be confirmed though :unsure:

Agreed, just listened to it and that definitely did sound like one. Great track and added to my playlist.

 

The Poppy song has cool production but the slightly more industrial sounding pop can go either way in BJSC. I don’t think it would have got past Rêve had they both been allowed in. Clearly both sounded big though.

 

The Gabrielle Aplin song I’ve heard before and it’s pleasant but not a surprising veto in any way.

though I have been trying to keep a Belgium-like streak going of alternating between a Japanese entry and a non-Japanese one so I don't typecast myself too hard

 

almost broke this streak with a hugely rhythmic bop but I found a Western banger, sent that one here, and sent the Japanese one to the Foreign Language spinoff, lucky both were running at the same time *.*
