Welcome to Week 11 of these polls!

The Pogues featuring Kirsty MacColl with “Fairytale Of New York” came from behind to win the Week 10 poll with 11 votes, avoiding a repeat of Christmas 1987 when they were beaten to #1 by the Pet Shop Boys. The Pet Shop Boys & Dusty Springfield finished just 1 vote behind with “What Have I Done To Deserve This?” At least that was the position when we formally ended the poll this afternoon - I note that it has been levelled again since oops!

With 12 votes “Full Metal Jacket” fended off strong competition from the Fat Boys to win the worst poll.

Poison gets my only vote for best this week.

I've also voted Hanky Panky for worst as that feels like a genuine misfire whereas the other options are just a bit naff.

Some bookended votes for me - The Living Years & Poison followed by Nessun Dorma (this making the best list *.*), Tom's Diner and Groove is in the Heart.

Have to concur the worst is Hanky Panky by some distance, that was just a bit cringe, I've already forgotten how the other four go.

Alice Cooper, B-52s, Tom's Diner & Deee-Lite for the best.

Glad to see Hanky Panky, probably Madonna's most cringe single ever, getting rightfully slandered here.

Toms diner and Black velvet, the best

Hanky Panky definitely the worst

Hanky Panky was not only Madonna's worst single, but the worst track on the Dick Tracy album (which I bought). Sooner Or Later, for example is lovely, and justifies the movie which was visually stylistically lovely but a shoddy script.

I had no outstanding fave this time, and figured it didnt matter if I spread my votes, so B52's, Black velvet, Dirty Cash & Kylie. Dee-Lite almost got a vote from me, and if Id known Tom's de-de-duuuh de Diner was running away with it I would have given Groove one too! Doh!

I wasn't part of the listening session but I heard Hanky Panky recently and it certainly was a number 2.
