Yup, top-40 is on lock with it being high on AM and downloads still!

Top-20 would be a stretch this week, unless it picks up quick on Spotify, but top-30 is not out of question, especially if they release something on her website again on Wed / Thu!

Il take a top 40 debut and be happy but higher would be a bonus. We have waited a long time for kylie to be back at this level again.

Interesting to see if BMG react to its chart performance this week.

Massive start for ‘Tension’ although I’d genuinely be happy with it entering at #40 - I was convinced PP would be a one off and the follow ups would be Top 60 smashes so for her to be on course for a 2nd hit from the album is incredible.

Kylie is officially BACK!

I thought the same and it's just incredible and shows it was no fluke either.

It's a huge turnaround and deserved for Kylie.

#3 on Big Top 40

That is fantastic news my hun

Does that mean an add to the Capital playlist is coming next week?

That would really help

Hopefully they will playlist it now that it’s had a good start…. PP also started off at #3 on the Big Top 40 too.

We will hopefully have a few exciting weeks watching kylies chart progress. It's great to see kylie really getting the chance to increase her career top 75 weeks
Tension down to number 5 on the Itunes Worldwide chart on day 3. Padam Padam down 2 at 40th
Wow first look #14 is brilliant! Hopefully it can stay top 20 by the end of the week! It's still not caught on for me yet but obs I want her to do well with it.

Wow at #14 :cheer: I guess staying Top 20 will prove to be a tall order but I’d like to think Top 30 is guaranteed. Hopefully BMG will have a trick up their sleeve for this first chart week, like they did with Padam Padam (the extended mix release). Hoping that this great start will motivate the fanbase to keep it as high as possible.

I know it just won’t happen, but if BMG/Townsend had an “if you can’t beat them join them” attitude about the “99p with free shipping physical” tactic, I feel like Tension would have a strong chance of Top 10? When you consider that Leigh-Anne’s Don’t Say Love single got to #11 but would have been around #35 without the physicals - and it seems that Tension will outdo Don’t Say Love on the strength of streaming/downloads. It’s just instead of selling 2.5k CDs or 1.5k cassettes, there’d be scope to sell triple that amount with cheaper prices. Seems clear after Padam Padam that BMG prefer to make money out of them and give a slight boost, rather than lose money in exchange for a major chart boost. I suppose there’s no point even thinking about it!

If ArianaG released this - with a bettwe video - wveeyone would be RAVING about her "reviving 90s retro house", and she'd be no.1 on the streams. But as ir's Kylie, nada!

It’s so amazing and still feels pretty surreal to be experiencing Kylie performing so well with singles in the streaming era.

I’m really savouring this! It’s the best/happiest surprise of 2023.

I’d resigned myself to being content if she charted in the Top 100, while accepting that she would sometimes miss out entirely (A Second to Midnight for instance), and that it was really all about the albums chart.

Honestly, I don’t think I’ve felt this level of excitement for her chart success since the Fever era!
