It's a no for Hot Hits this time.

That's really quite scummy of them when it was charting for a few days on its own, you'd think that would be enough to persuade them it's worth going with. I suppose it's not necessarily the end of the road and I'll take what I can get.

It’s not updated yet has it?

What a shame, i kind of expected it in the end, especially when Australia didn’t add her. Good for Leigh Anne but I wonder how she got an instant add this time round?
When would we hear if it was reset or not? Tomorrow?

No idea hun. I'd probably bank on PP being reset with the album perhaps!

PP is still on hot hits, i doubt both would be on or they wait at least untll Tension is actually charted later on Friday

It has now lost all its NMF support so needs to be added to a few more big Pop, Dance playlists.

Going to be nowhere near the first look top 20 on Sunday unless some new download is released so will lose some visibility there. Cassettes won;t be added until the 12th

The Amazon rise is very encouraging though. Apple & Amazon very important to Kylie success this era. All premium streams. Added to All Hits on Amazon which the 70 biggest songs in the world by their curators

That’s really disappointing about Hot Hits, I thought they would have at least moved it up on ‘The Pop List’ but it’s #33!

Maybe BMG were right to throw all the CD’s at it on the first week then, as this will (most likely) be its peak.

BUT on the positive side, we are about to (hopefully) have a second top 20 Kylie single in 2023 today, who would’ve thought that!

Bring on the album!

The fact it’s still 99p as well. The 59p songs are promoted at the moment on iTunes so they’re missing a massive trick.

I think BMG have tried a new tactic. Get chart position with physical and try to get a streaming basis then hope the album streams and album promo bolster for the downloads and remixes coming.

They went for radio first and now can work on other tactics.

Is it possible one of our great Stats people can give us the first week streaming of each song from Disco on Spotify??

She was still in Paris yesterday

It will be interesting what they do to try and stabilise it for its 2nd week and 3rd before the album release gives it a boost.

I would a remix will come this week.

I agree my hun

I am hoping that they reduce to 59p today, all I can think is they were saving it for this week. The problem is once you are out of the top 10 on i tunes, its hard to recover hun.

I’m so pleased BMG went all out with this - it proves that physical/download release in week 1 produces a Top 40. Also doing this has secured a Top 20 hit rather than a 29-26-43 kinda run.

We’ve always said that if they done it for Kylie releases it would work, appreciate that Tension is benefiting off the back of PP but even in the Golden and Disco eras I think they could have racked up some Top 40s with this strategy.

Also the press for getting a Top 40 single always seems greater for any artist than getting a #1/hit album - the UK public and media always seem to take hit singles as a measure of success.

You would think she has good stuff lined up with Apple, Amazon, Spotify and Deezer for the album streaming.

I think it just proves that payola, Spotify exclusives and the much touted ‘reduced artist royalties and payments’ in exchange for exposure is real.

BMG seemingly are not playing the streaming game and probably know the £££ involved in getting a ‘hit’ - that’s why they base their business model on physical selling album artists rather than chasing the singles chart.

Give us a download and physical in week 1 BMG and we’ll provide a Top 40 with it without Spotify!

Tension rising fast on Amazon Music

Up to 132nd. It took PP about 2 months to start climbing like that

It's on their biggest playlsit All Hits now

Agree my hun

Maybe for future albums when we go back to first and 2nd singles potentially not charting. They could do cd, cassette and vinyls all on week one and every Kylie single would probably go top 40 then. 😅
