It’s great the TikTok numbers are going up but I guess it depends on the reach - if people with 50 followers are using the sound tag the impact will be nil versus some of the big accounts that used PP.

 

As we know TikTok can do wonders for the charts so we might start to see Tension has some legs over the coming weeks.

It is in fact on 22.8K vids on TikTok, but it indeed doesn’t convert to streams. I saw some sort of a make-up challenge with Tension, with the snippet starting from ‘Every day and every night’ and not going until the actual chorus. Maybe that snippet isn’t too attractive to convert to streaming. 🤷🏽‍♂️

I would never trust anything about Amazon charts. I have a feeling they just make it up.

Make it up based on what? I know we don't know official figures and whatnot, but how do they decide the ranking of this made up chart.

I believe, that people use Amazon more vaguely than other streaming services with commands like "Alexa play hits" or "Alexa play rock music". So, if Amazon decides a song is not a hit, it will not get played. People use Spotify and AM more specifically, searching for albums, songs and artists. I don't think any song can drop 200 positions in popularity in a day.

 

Could be just my observation though.

I would like to think Tension will receive the remix treatment from next Friday to coincide with any benefits it gets from the album release.

Loved the live version of Tension. Lots of backing track obviously but great. She obviously loves the song a lot
