I also think around 60-70K but not more cos of lack of a chart battle

making the label do price drops

It's a pity Ed chickened out and released on the 29th

otherwise we would have had a proper chart battle and then higher sales

I see that Tension has lots of different cassettes though :D

I'm thinking #1 with 45k or so. She had the chart battle with Little Mix last time around to really help boost sales as her fans bought up every copy imaginable.
I’ll be shocked if Tension opens will less sales than Disco seeing as the former spawned hits whereas the latter didn’t
It might enter the top 40 x

I’m gonna say between 60-70K.

Last time around there was a chart battle which may have helped but she’s in a really good position at the moment, she’s winning over new fans whilst pleasing her existing fan base and if we go off Padam Padam then I’d say it’s sure to open with more than DISCO (and I think this will do considerably better on streaming too which is now a better market for Kylie).

All in all I’d say we’re looking at a good week ahead probably the best non Taylor female week of the year as a whole!

I think #1 obviously. Probably 30,000+ sales.

I'm surprised so many people are saying 60,000. That's a pretty elite figure these days.

She has like 20 physical variants so the Kylie fans on this site alone contribute 500 sales.

5 x Vinyl

4 x Cassettes

3 x CDs

Easy number one on 60k+ I'd say. I see that 'Tension' has cassettes on first week too now, so the formats compared to 'DISCO' are roughly the same. So big coverage and 'Padam' success should bring it up.

What 'Tension' doesn't have compared to 'DISCO' is a chart battle. Doja Cat clearly won't put such a threat like Little Mix did and cares mainly of the USA market where Kylie has no chance anyway. So 60k+ might be a bit optimistic, but let's see how 'Tension' the single fares too. If it becomes a hit, now that could give a multiplicative effect to the album!

Actually it has been discussed that Tension has already sold 40k in the US in pre-orders which is enough for top 10 which is a great achievement in itself scoring her 2nd top 10 album there after all these years…

In the Uk it should sell around 45-50k, fingers crossed

Where has this 40k pre orders been discussed ?

If Disco can manage 55k with no hits, I do think this should crack 60k.

I’m guessing 62/63k opening.

I read it on Say hey

Can you link me to that thread?

Her 5k fans will buy 10 copies each minimum so about 55k

5k fans? This is Kylie Minogue who sells out arenas all over the world and is about to do a Las Vegas stint, she has far more than 5k fans.

The trolling had started.
