Round 3 is a go! To confirm you are voting for the next theme of Club Bizarre to be hosted in October.

Rules

  • There will be several rounds where we will vote for themes to be knocked out like a singles survivor until we have our winner
  • You must only vote for your TWO least favourite themes in this round. Please do not vote for any more than this to keep it fair.
  • You have until 23:59 (BST) on 19/09/23 to vote in this round.
  • You are free to reveal your nomination choice now should you wish to or keep it a secret, it's up to you.
Theme Explanations

*Techno & Artistic/Experimental Electronica - Artistic electronic music so may not necessarily have a big drop or sound 'dated'. It sounds a bit more atmospheric

*Celebrating the Rise of Woman & Non-Binary People in Music - To celebrate the rising levels of equality within the business. People could choose to submit either a classic dance vocalist, an early pioneer or one of the increasing numbers of female/non-binary DJs and producers who are becoming more prominent

*Dance by Definition - Songs that make you want to get up and dance, have dance moves/instructions, could even be workout anthems

*Transformations - Remixes, covers, samples, interpolations, reworks etc. that completely transform the original piece. Highlighting the transformative nature of dance and electronic music and its ability to shapeshift and inspire future generations of music.

*Classic / Original Electronica - in terms of the original 90s definition. Something less high energy but with prominent uses of electronic instruments, synths and ambience. Think Moby and Massive Attack primarily.

*Halloween - dark, spooky, gothic dance music

*Dance Till You're Dead - tracks from artists in the dance world that have died, including posthumous releases

I liked the idea of DJ/producer that sings. The barrier for that though might be too high understandably.

Dance by Definition for reasons previously stated.

Dance Till You're Dead because that's a very difficult thing to actually be sure of given how obscure some Club Bizarre alumni have been in the past.
