September 29, 20232 yr Author Not sure how I feel about this growing trend of adding a song to the A-list and then disposing of it 3 or 4 weeks later when it isn't doing that well. I suppose I'm OK with it this week though as 'Bongos' is a terrible song! Nothing to write home about with this week's adds. Thought they may have switched Troye's song for his new one this week. September 29, 20232 yr Really pleased with the climbs to the A-list. Jorja Smith was always happening this week but I wasn’t sure they’d A-list ‘Now U Do’. The A-list really does need a clear out though which should happen next week. There’s plenty of songs on the B-list that look set to rise - Griff, cassö and co, Kenya Grace, Tate McRae, Royal Blood to name a few. Yay for the quick add for Holly Humberstone. Her album is out in a couple weeks so I think ‘Into Your Room’ will go C-B-A. Oh and no Ed Sheeran is a big surprise.
September 29, 20232 yr wait, no Ed??? is it possible? He posted that there is not gonna be a push, no single, no ”must buying”, it’s just a soundtrack for the autumn or whatever, it would doing badly anyway with a push, so it’s better so it’s “it’s just casual” and not a flop.

September 29, 20232 yr Too soon for Cardi Stallion to be removed Never too soon for Cardi to be removed. Nothing much of interest this week tbh. They may add Ed next week if a track gets nominated as an official single or if a track (such as American Girl) really takes off this week.

September 29, 20232 yr Nice to see 'I KNOW ?' getting a single push, finally listened to Travis' album the other day and that is one of my favourite songs off it (has grown on me considerably more since first listening to it as a top 100 new entry). Spotted the other day that it was in Dan's estimated OCC rules Spotify top 40 so hoping it can go top 40 officially soon. And oops I was wrong about Kenya going C-A but surely will be A-Listed next week. Yay for DJ Seinfeld, Jungle and Tyla moving up too.

I don’t remember them being overly massive over here, their singles didn’t do amazingly looking at their runs. They seem to be more remembered over time, probably due to Spotify seemingly pushing American artists/groups more on playlists etc.
September 29, 20232 yr Doesn’t Olivia Dean have a more current single? Dive came out ages ago This has got to be the quickest re-add I've ever seen. Dive was on the playlist earlier this year from April-May and spent 4 weeks on the C List.

September 30, 20232 yr Yeh her current single is ‘Ladies Room’ as it’s getting plays elsewhere and on evening shows. Dive is the clear hit on the album, great song which eas my PC no1 back in May!

They seem to be more remembered over time, probably due to Spotify seemingly pushing American artists/groups more on playlists etc. They only one I remember getting significant playlist support on R1 was ‘Girlfriend’ in 2002 which I think was their final release and it was with Nelly! Does t mean they didn’t get support though!
