I think the repetitive and chant-like nature of the chorus makes it ideal for people to sing along to at parties. I think most people are too fickle to actually think any deeper than that about what the lyrics actually mean!

Rush debuted high off the back of prolonged TikTok exposure, while Got Me Started started climbing towards the end of week 1 after an okay but not surprising debut.

Actually I see where I've been lead astray on "RUSH", the 3rd week was the week "UTOPIA" came out so it has a sort of exaggerated position decline there. "Got Me Started" absolutely still falls under the same category though, these sort of 'artificial' boosts tend to run from around day 7 to day 13 of release and that's been replicated here.

At least the allSTARS* song appears on Halloween playlists. I really wish 'You Make Me Feel Like It's Halloween' by Muse would do something, it's such a brilliant song. What more do they have to do to get on a Halloween playlist when the song has literally got the word Halloween in the title?! I can't see it on any of the major playlists. Such a travesty.

 

'Zombie Prom' by the Kaiser Chiefs is a pretty cool song too, I guess no one wants to play modern Halloween songs.

With new Taylor and Halloween coming up, this weekend is another opportunity for Mr. Brightside to leave the Spotify top 50 for the first time since Boxing Day last year

Will be interesting to see if Natalie Jane makes an appearance with Intrusive Thoughts, seems to be a lot of hype on tiktok for it with a few videos getting up to 6 Million views.

 

Hope it can do something, reminds me of the hype on tiktok when Mimi Webb was releasing Good Without.
