Summericia's imperial phase rolls on~ Pretty exciting relegation dogfight there with the bottom 7 all within 9 points. Quit a lot of mealworm votes for Dobago it seems this time. And not by any means a semi scrape through either, in fact I would still have narrowly qualified even with a full deduction! My top 2 in the top 10 is pleasing to see, both levels clear of the rest. And a big hand to Oliver for the very aesthetically pleasing reveal.

Omg what a relief...I literally gave up after first 10 sets of votes or so and I convinced myself that I will be in the bottom but thanks to you that didn't happen. Thank you everyone seriously for all of your votes...receiving 19 from Jade and Lewis was super amazing so thank you. Congrats to Roba, I felt it that it's going to win whoever was going to send it but kudos to you for being so consistent. And last but not least, amazing job Oliver hosting :clap:

I did like it initially when I listened through semi's playlist but kinda it didn't grow as much as I would love to. 'WEREWOLF' was 24 places lower than projected (15th -> 39th), the record is 31 places. You have had 2 previous entries that had bigger regressions yourself! (Loviet - Dullshine 29 places 11th -> 40th and OVRGRWN - Wasteland 27 places 6th -> 33rd). (Spacetrain's regression was 'only' 29 places as it was a fairly low scoring semi-final winner so only projected 7th! But it is by far the lowest final position for a semi-final winner, 10 places lower than VERIDIA - Still Breathing (Taahino BJSC 99, 26th))
October 4, 20231 yr One more fun stat, the record for all time most top 10 hits has been going back and forth a bit this year - Aeroche briefly overtook FSR Rontvia after BJSC 151 but this month FSR have taken the lead again (66 to 65)!
October 4, 20231 yr YTD update (last month's positions here for comparison) ~ Hendinia very slightly close the gap to Kathaldazia (to within 100 points), FSR Rontvia also climb back up to 3rd but only barely holding off Summericia whose latest win pushes them up 8-4, not to be written off as an EOY #1 contender still (although they'd most likely need the top 2 to falter at least once in the last two contests of the year). Altyr Muunilinst fall 3-5 despite their top 15 finish this month. Cumulonimbia, Aeroche, Jadakissnia and Lotunia all hold their places in the top 10 while Cor Lupus flop down 5-8, proving once again that they are the floppiest nation to ever exist. October 4, 20231 yr If anyone can pull a landslide winner out of the bag at the end of the year to suddenly contend, it's Summericia. Watch out Kath and RobBot. There are three or four countries who are magnificent at constantly sending competitive entries, I've got imposter syndrome amongst Hendinia/Kath/Altyr up there. In 2009-2011 maybe it would have been more expected but we've been off the boil for such a long time. Intriguing 'most top tens' tussle ongoing with Aeroche, I didn't realise it was so close.

Not my kinda thing but I definitely can see the crossover appeal. That's our 3rd semi final win to-date, yay! Interesting that neither of our winners this year (Geo22 or Snow Strippers) won their semis, but K, who came 3rd in the final, did. And now Delia who finishes 9th! Thanks a lot to Dobbo and blacksquare for the 18s + Dandy, Jade, Addy and Lewis for the other medal points :heart: 'Tekknotrans' felt like a more bold and obscure entry for us, really happy with the response it got :wub: Looking at how close that 2-10 section is, I feel like just 1 or 2 more big fans could've been the difference between finishing 2nd or 9th!?
