Wow this is amazing. Really did not expect this to be what I heard when I pressed play. I have always associated Floating Points with breezy/chilled electronic tracks so this is a pleasant surprise.

Brilliant electronic production and flows so well. Del Oro finally clicked with me *.* That mix of Vocoder, gives a bit of freshness to the 2.5 year old robbed BJSC entry. Fast Forward is a great focus track pick.

 

Current score of 85 on Metacritic and Pitchfork gave it an 8.

This is definitely one of the best electronic albums of the year and I suspect it could rival Kiasmos as my favourite. I always think it is so difficult to make an album that bridges the line of dance and electronic but this one does so perfectly. Everything has a real propulsion to it and it really feels energetic whilst still keeping some of the more structured electronic leanings that his previous work has.

Debuts at #90 on the UK Albums Chart and #1 on Dance Albums

Affleck's Palace is brilliant. The amount of instruments and layers in each production is so impressive. When Tilt Shift comes on it feels like your ascending into heaven :cry:

Had this on during weekend predrinks and it's incredible

 

Finally bought this on vinyl as I saw it discounted… if you ever see the ‘universal sparkle’ edition then get it - it’s beautiful and basically has blue glitter in it, really unique looking
