October 30, 20231 yr Never sure how accurate the bookies are but the odds are certainly in her favour!
October 30, 20231 yr If its Kylie do you think its a new song or they will use an old one from Kylie Christmas?
October 30, 20231 yr If its Kylie do you think its a new song or they will use an old one from Kylie Christmas? Don't they usually get somebody to cover something dreary piano-ballad style? (Thinking about it, 'Only You' fits that bill perfectly)
October 30, 20231 yr It is usually a slow number and a cover version, but they could try something different.
October 30, 20231 yr I wouldn’t be opposed to a piano ballad version of Hold On To Now. They could have it as part of a digital EP which would make SmileyKylie happy! :D
October 30, 20231 yr Could be an interesting approach but as i adore the song in its current format its likely i wouldnt be a huge fan if they took that route, generally speaking i dont find slowed down versions of songs any good.
October 30, 20231 yr Author its interesting she is 7/2 favourite though..... 10 out of 10 acoustic?
October 30, 20231 yr its interesting she is 7/2 favourite though..... 10 out of 10 acoustic? That would never work.
October 30, 20231 yr Author Last Year John Lewis Advert premiered on 10th November........ often on a Thursday it could drop on 2nd or 9th November....... Kylie was 6/1 now 7/2 lol Sadly though i wouldn't think they would release an extended mix etc if it was coming out for an advert. Imagine, Padam Padam i hear it in the snow.......... lmao Edited October 30, 20231 yr by SmileyKylie
October 30, 20231 yr Last year they didn't even create an original song for the advert (it was a Blink-182 cover by some YouTube jazz band), so I wouldn't get your hopes up.
October 31, 20231 yr The venn diagram speaks for itself. 75% of JL customers are also Kylie lovers. Let’s be real, the homeware department is basically a low key cruising ground. So yes, piano ballad HOTN please.
October 31, 20231 yr Her version of Only You the other year was perfect. A piano version of Hold On To Now would be stunning - I hope it happens. Edited October 31, 20231 yr by Melancholia

November 1, 20231 yr Sophie and Hannah haven't actually done a version of the song, they just feature in the advert. The version of the song in this ad is by somebody Ray BlK.
