Queen managed four songs top 200, with an August release where Christmas songs weren't in play. The highest was the single, Bed, up two places to #49. Nothing else was top 200, and the other pre-release single Chun-Li was one of the three remaining top 200 entries, so it had a higher bar to start from. She's doing better than I expected here, with the Christmas songs taking up so much of the top 200!

To me - walking around the shops - it feels less like Christmas now than it did a couple of weeks ago, weirdly. It feels like loads of local markets and gift fairs happened last month but have now finished.

 

I suppose because Christmas now starts so early that a lot of people feel quite fatigued by it by mid-December, before ramping it up again closer to the day, and that does always seem to be reflected in the charts too, with a mid December dip.

 

That said, very happy for Cher!
