In the world of music Britney Spears rose to fame, Geri Halliwell made a very publicised departure from the Spice Girls and the England football team inherited a timeless anthem that would resurface in the charts every major football event to come. The year itself was quite a special one for music quality as the end of the Britpop era spawned a new era of pop bands and new international superstars making their debuts. When it comes to the UK Charts, a total of 32 unique #1 singles graced our radio stations and shops shelves. We have tried to collage all the highest points from the year and bundle them together into one musical compendium for you all to enjoy.May I present to you all... BuzzJack Presents... 1998!
January 10Jan 10 Author The absolute quality of 1998! This an incredibly strong set. Well done, @awardinary

January 10Jan 10 Good selection here - great work. In 98 I was much into dance music and it was a transition year from speed garage to trance and funky house. I will delve deeper into it this evening, but one song I am missing is the great cover version from Juliet Roberts of "Bad Girls". Edited January 10Jan 10 by DaTilt
January 10Jan 10 Would like your thoughts from this project too@nowmusic1993 with the 1998 annual, does it look ok to you?

I couldn’t have chosen better songs myself, it really does scream 1998. The order of tracks and the artwork is fantastic as well, it looks like a genuine compilation you’d see in HMV. Great work mate!

January 10Jan 10 Top work @awardinary , 1998 was really special and this tracklist has turned out great, thank you for your effort and kudos to @Colm for the eye catching artwork as ever. Lots of brilliant songs on here that other compilations were unable to license, plus some cult hits that have become bigger over time. Disc 4 has my heart ❤️
January 10Jan 10 No Sham Rock - Tell Me Ma means this is an invalid representation I'm afraid x(I kid, good work, Disc 2 looks great)
January 10Jan 10 Great choices for inclusion - although I don’t think Frozen should ever be edited, sacrilege!!
January 10Jan 10 Author It bothers me that we had to use the only edit of that Oasis song. It's is about 3 days long. Edited January 10Jan 10 by Colm
