OK I'll have a guess:

Cher - Believe

Stardust - Music Sounds Better With You

Robbie Williams - Let Me Entertain You

Madonna - Frozen

At least one of those is right!

  2. Boards Of Canada – Roygbiv

Disc Two

  1. Bryan Adams feat. Melanie C – When You're Gone

  2. Foo Fighters – My Hero

Disc Three

  1. Will Smith – Gettin' Jiggy Wit It

  2. Alexia – Uh La La La

Disc Four

Hoping Take Me There by Blackstreet will be on it.

It's been removed from Spotify unfortunately (apart from a Jacksons sampling remix that doesn't feature Mya).

Coming soon!

Who would like to guess the opening tracks for each of the four discs that celebrate this year in music?

Teasers to come!

Later than anticipated, but here is the much awaited collection of the year that is MCMXCVIII, otherwise referred to as 1998.

Google was founded, Titanic dominated cinemas, the first ever mp3 players emerged and DVDs were sold for the first time. In the world of music Britney Spears rose to fame, Geri Halliwell made a very publicised departure from the Spice Girls and the England football team inherited a timeless anthem that would resurface in the charts every major football event to come.

The year itself was quite a special one for music quality as the end of the Britpop era spawned a new era of pop bands and new international superstars making their debuts. When it comes to the UK Charts, a total of 32 unique #1 singles graced our radio stations and shops shelves.

We have tried to collage all the highest points from the year and bundle them together into one musical compendium for you all to enjoy.

May I present to you all... BuzzJack Presents... 1998!

Two out of four, not bad - and disc 4 in the correct order!

Look forward to listening through happy

Good selection here - great work. In 98 I was much into dance music and it was a transition year from speed garage to trance and funky house. I will delve deeper into it this evening, but one song I am missing is the great cover version from Juliet Roberts of "Bad Girls".

Would like your thoughts from this project too@nowmusic1993 with the 1998 annual, does it look ok to you?

Wow that compilation looks amazing! I couldn’t have chosen better songs myself, it really does scream 1998. The order of tracks and the artwork is fantastic as well, it looks like a genuine compilation you’d see in HMV. Great work mate!

It charted in early 1999 here although wasn't a notable enough hit to make it onto our 1999 album.

Top work @awardinary , 1998 was really special and this tracklist has turned out great, thank you for your effort and kudos to @Colm for the eye catching artwork as ever.

Lots of brilliant songs on here that other compilations were unable to license, plus some cult hits that have become bigger over time.

Disc 4 has my heart ❤️

Great choices for inclusion - although I don’t think Frozen should ever be edited, sacrilege!!

It bothers me that we had to use the only edit of that Oasis song. It's is about 3 days long.
