Yeah that's incredibly unlucky for Ari. Unfortunately I can see a load more old Christmas songs overtaking her next week so still no Top 10.

Biography

Michael Barratt (born 4 March 1948), known professionally as Shakin' Stevens, is a Welsh singer and songwriter. He was the UK's biggest-selling singles artist of the 1980s. His recording and performing career began in the late 1960s, although it was not until 1980 that his commercial success began. His most successful songs were nostalgia hits, evoking the sound of 1950s rock and roll and pop. In the UK alone, Stevens has charted 33 Top 40 hit singles including four chart-topping hits "This Ole House", "Green Door", "Oh Julie", and "Merry Christmas Everyone"; his last Top 40 single was "Trouble" in 2005 apart from his Christmas song, which has re-entered the UK Singles Chart each December since 2007. - Wikipedia

Great to see Shaky regain his rightful place in the top 10!
This has probably been mentioned in several other threads already so apologies if people are repeating themselves, but I've seen people say Cher is the first female artist to have a top 40 in 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s, 10s and 20s - which male artist has done it?

* In the 60's, too - 7 consecutive decades. ;)

I don't think any other artist (male or group) has achieved it, actually. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Biography

It didn’t take long for Michael Bublé to start getting the Sinatra comparisons. And in some ways, they made sense: Like Sinatra, Bublé was an old-fashioned entertainer, the kind of singer who weighed his success in part by how well he connected with the crowd. But where Sinatra exuded swagger and masculinity, Bublé was soft and humble, a fisherman’s son from British Columbia who could swing if he wanted but tended more toward ballads and delicate adult-contemporary pop. Did the ladies love him? Of course! He’s Michael Bublé. He might be carrying a torch, but he’s lighting his own way.

Born in 1975 in Burnaby, just east of Vancouver, Bublé fell in love with jazz and standards after being turned on by his grandfather, an Italian-born plumber who later offered his services to clubs to fix their pipes in exchange for putting a teenage Bublé onstage. As his star grew, his range broadened, balancing straight takes on classics like “Stardust” and “All of Me” with polished contemporary pop (“Home,” “Haven’t Met You Yet,” and “Nobody But Me”), creating a sound that was immediate, romantic, elevated but accessible. And like his heroes (not just Sinatra, but Dean Martin, Tony Bennett, and a generation of American entertainers), Bublé got his Christmas album (2011’s Christmas) and a string of TV specials (buble!). In 2013, he gave an impromptu a cappella performance in the New York City subway. That, he said, is when you know you’ve made it. A stretch, but if his voice doesn’t get you, his charm will. - Apple Music

What's this 5 contenders? There's no hope for Ed/Elton surely. Are the top 5 that close or is it just bollocks.
Buble. Why is he popular??

Band Aid 30 didn’t do that well did it?

I remember how hated it was! They'd be mad to try again. They should be happy the original still does very well (if not spectacularly) nowadays.

Biography

“I still wanna be one of the greats,“ rapper Jack Harlow tells Apple Music about his commitment to his craft. “I’m very ambitious about this. And I think I have what it takes to really make a mark because I love the art.” Harlow, born in 1998 in Kentucky, is well on his way to turning that dream into reality. Growing up in Louisville, Harlow started writing and rapping at the age of 12 and released his bouncy first EP before graduating from school in late 2015. Since his more fully realised mixtape, 18, dropped in 2016, Harlow has continued to inject his chill party rap and poppy beats with “addictive, candy-coated qualities,” as he described it to Apple Music. “It’s good on the ears.” With 2017’s Gazebo, he established a more mature sound, moodily riding through his hometown with the intense “Dark Knight” and keeping things dreamy using synth pulses on the regret-laden “Wasted Youth”. It’s a vibe he honed on multiple mixtapes in the late 2010s, keeping with a feel he says is representative of Louisville—smooth and laidback—while exploring elements of trap, which is native to his adopted home base of Atlanta. With every beat on 2020’s punchy, swaggering Sweet Action, Harlow moved closer to the place he sees as his inevitable destination: “On top.” - Apple Music

I'm slightly surprised they play the lyrics about whips and chains knowing how prudish R1 can be! :whip:
This and Stick Season are the only songs to stay the top 10 during the last couple of weeks so far.
