These kind of expanded albums dropped without any singles / fanfare don't usually make much impact, even Drake had a very muted showing with his the other month. Aside from 'You Broke My Heart' the only other such release that comes to mind which went top 40 is Ariana Grande's 'test drive' (and only barely), although I'm sure I may be forgetting some.

 

Anyway, I see The Killers do get a new peak after all just a day later than expected! Also what's with the huge rise for 'Riptide' today? It was only hovering around #50 in the few days before the NYE playlist invasion! (Pretty disappointing bounce backs for 'I Remember Everything' and especially 'Surround Sound' as well, the latter not what I like to see with its top 40 position for the week looking less secure than I assumed oops). And I hoped Mason would climb again today with him overtaking NYE songs but he's actually dropped a fair bit aw! At least Sophie is still rising though.

 

Surprising that Taylor's 'New Year's Day' didn't make an appearance last year tbh :P I guess that will now be an annual occurrence alongside the 'august' bump.

 

Suppose it makes sense that 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough' is now top 20 considering it somehow survived Christmas Day in the top 200 but then oddly dropped pretty far down the non-Christmas song pecking order again after that. Could be coming for a new peak (it's only had one previous week in the top 100, #80 in 2013!)

I don't think it was fair to expect One of Your Girls to "explode" after Christmas when it was #40 and on its way out already in November.. It's unfortunate but Rush has been the bigger hit both critically and commercially for him anyway.

It's not on Today's Top Hits, which is the main way for songs to get high on Apple out of the blue - strange!
