Crazy that this week’s official #38 isn’t in the tracks Top 100 - the ACR distortion is getting bigger and bigger.

The 48 in the Week 1 Top 100 not listed above in alphabetical order:

Ain’t no mountain high enough

Another love

Bad habits

Bad idea right?

Blinding lights

Cold heart

Dancing queen

Desire

Die for you

Dog days are over

Don’t stop me now

Dreams

Everybody wants to rule the world

Giving me

Good love

Go your own way

I ain’t worried

I’m good

I’m still standing

Iris

I wanna be yours

I wanna dance with somebody

Kill bill

Last Christmas

Livin’ on a prayer

Naïve

Padam padam

Party in the USA

Perfect (Sheeran)

Practice (Drake)

React

Riptide

Save your tears

Seventeen going under

Sex on fire

Shivers

Snooze

Someone like you

Something in the orange

Summer of ‘69

Tainted love

Take me to church

Take on me

The night we met

The real Slim Shady

Viva la vida

We found love

Wonderwall

Stay tuned to see how they all fare!

I have attempted to create a rough decade-to-date chart for those who are interested, please take this with a pinch of salt though as it could be wildly inaccurate:

#1 The Weeknd - Blinding Lights (4.16m)

#2 Ed Sheeran - Bad Habits (3.52m)

#3 Lewis Capaldi - Someone You Loved (2.92m)

#4 Tones and I - Dance Monkey (2.73m)

#5 Glass Animals - Heat Waves (2.68m)

#6 Joel Corry feat. MNEK - Heat & Heart (2.67m)

#7 Harry Styles - As It Was (2.53m)

#8 Ed Sheeran - Shivers (2.51m)

#9 The Killers - Mr. Brightside (2.42m)

#10 Wham! - Last Christmas (2.41m)

#11 Mariah Carey - All I Want for Christmas is You (2.34m)

#12 The Weeknd - Save Your Tears (2.34m)

#13 Harry Styles - Watermelon Sugar (2.32m)

#14 Lewis Capaldi - Before You Go (2.27m)

#15 Olivia Rodrigo - good 4 u (2.26m)

#16 Dua Lipa feat. DaBaby - Levitating (2.20m)

#17 Dua Lipa - Don't Start Now (2.14m)

#18 Elton John & Dua Lipa - Cold Heart [PNAU Remix] (2.12m)

#19 SAINt JHN - Roses [imanbek Remix] (2.08m)

#20 Ed Sheeran - Perfect (2.08m)

Head & Heart low key feels out of place on that list now, don't get me wrong, I love it and it was inescapable at the time but I rarely ever hear it now.
So Bad Habits is the biggest song released this decade in the UK so far?

Head & Heart gains a relatively significant advantage having been released in 2020 so has had longer to accumulate sales.

And yes on Bad Habits, although Blinding Lights was released in December 2019 so close enough imo, remains to be seen if As It Was or anything else can catch Bad Habits if we’re excluding Blinding Lights

Think that’s the first time Perfect has been out of the YTD Top 100 since whenever it entered in 2017.

Sheeran fatigue finally getting to kick out Perfect from the year end chart yay

hopefully Murder can remain in the year end top ten the whole year but who knows how quickly it’ll drop off

Blinding Lights and Bad Habits both quite far out ahead in the decade totals then. Do both sell similar amounts these days or does one seem more likely to grow quicker than the other now?

They’re doing similar numbers (Bad Habits still slightly more in a typical week at the moment but not enough to bridge the gap). I think Blinding Lights is looking very good to be the biggest 2020s hit of the decade, but the actual #1 of the decade is now looking to be between Mr Brightside and Last Christmas!

Julian can correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe Blinding Lights is pretty stable and selling more than Bad Habits by this point (which is probably still falling off a bit), so unless something huge is released I guess it depends if Blinding Lights can hold off Wham! and the Killers for decade-end number 1

Edit: nvm Julian got there first lmao

Oh really? Eeeek, that would be quite a bizarre outcome but I can see why it may pan out that way. Thanks for replying (and to Maestro for replying also)

Think it's more impressive as bad habits was in a fight for number 1 in its first week

I think he’s saying that it’s impressive Bad Habits became such a huge seller after it wasn’t so huge straight after the blocks, but Blinding Lights missed the Top 10 on its 1st week so not sure that follows.
