Gotta hand it to you, all your predictions so far have actually came true!

What's next?

Thanks my hun

Well we have had the belive moment, we have had the flowers moment...

I predict Kylie will feature on a track or it may be a duet and it will go top 10. (Not the Sia track, it will be another track... maybe 2024 or 2025).

Tension will outsell Disco and Golden. Once the re release of Tension comes out and this Sia track is tacked onto it and Kylie releases another one or two songs and her album sales start to trickle in through streaming. It will take a couple of years but it will happen. We also have the tour which will help with sales, even if it is a slight increase.

I think I need my own prediction thread hun! Haha.

I still don’t see that being possible for Tension… :kink: It’s waaaay behind where Disco was at the same stage. It would need an almighty and sustained boost to not only overcome the many tens of thousands deficit, but to manage to catch up and then overtake.

I mean we’re potentially talking about a re-release needing to generate 100,000+ fairly quickly, and thus actually outsell the original release, to manage this prediction. That’s the tallest of tall orders.

I'd love your prediction for Tension to come true but I can't see it happening as its so far behind . Unless the new addition has big surprises and a hit single it won't come close to selling the 100k thats needed.

Hi my huns

Remember when everyone thought Kylie would mever get a top 10 or top 20 single again huns.

Tension will outsell, it will just take a few years of trickle sales. We will get a mini boost at the brits, the tour and then when the re issue comes. And once we get a couple of new singles (and Sias new song being attached on the album), I think this will be enough to continously outsell the other two albums and eventually outsell.

I guess we will see how this plays out over the coming months and years? Maybe this prediction wont come true but in a few years from now, if it does... guys please remember I called it here first, back in 2023.

I wonder why they are giving her global success and not Lifetime Acheivement!? It’s not like artists outside the U.K. can’t win since Pinks record label bought her one afterall.

I think it’s essentially the same award just renamed.

….since Pinks record label bought her one afterall.

I’m screaming!

Facts be facts B-)

In all honesty she is deserving of the award however the first non-Brit to win it when the likes of Kylie, Cher, Madonna, Michael Jackson haven't (or hadn't at that point) was a bit ridiculous. Also helped she was promoting her new album at the time.

Pink was a deserving winner but there is a little bit of she skipped the que feeling as others in the business for far longer should have been awarded ahead of her but equally I was delighted for Pink but not on the same level that I am for Kylie.

I keep forgetting this is like a week on Saturday!!!

She will no doubt in UK soon if not already. Wonder if she will do any other promo before this ?

Hopefully she might get a few slots in - it’s a great news story and celebration moment so would be good if there was more than ‘just’ The Brits

Since moving out of the UK, she really seems to have deprioritised her biggest market which is a shame. She's so focused on USA USA USA

Honestly this :nocheer:

When I lived in the States and she came over for the ‘Golden’ promo it was literally an intimate NY show, 3 x TV slot, 2 x radio and then the White Party and that felt more than enough to match her level of success there.

Appreciate she’s stateside anyway for the residency but it feels like she’s doing so much promo and getting no better/worst results than she did for Golden and Disco, and while she is obviously beyond established in the UK it feels like she’s pushed it to one side a bit, without the UK she doesn’t particularly achieve a lot of success and even the level of chart action she gets in Australia wouldn’t sustain her as sales are ridiculously low there.

To be honest, UK-wise, she has nothing left to prove after having done Glastonbury. All that's left is the stubborn US market.

I agree she has nothing to prove in the UK but equally it's her golden egg market that does feel pushed aside this time around.

I'm sure Kylie is on a mission for herself with the American Market but I would be happier to see her more focused on the uk market.

We had an Evening With Kylie, she's doing the Brits, she's doing BST, what more do you want? A tour would be nice I guess, and she might still announce something?
I think it just feels like this album has been sidelined ever since its release in favour of the Vegas thing - which although I'm pleased for her and everything, I genuinely couldn't give a shit.
I guess BMG will try and sell the remainder of her CDs, vinyls, cassettes etc in the coming weeks with the Brits promo and then we have the Body Language LP out on 8th. Then I guess the Expanded new Tension CD/Vinyl will be on pre-order for the summer time gig for us all to buy again :)
