Resetting Running up that hill last year has opened up a can of worms because why shouldn't any old song getting traction from nowhere not be reset now? If Running up that hill and Murder on the dancefloor get resets then Unwritten absolutely should too.

I seriously, desperately want this to do something.

 

I'll be so miffed if the abomination that is 'React' can smash, but this not even chart.

Unwritten has , the one I think is unfair is Mr brightside as it could finally have had a top 10 peak not because I want it in the chart forever :lol:

I’m very much for these old songs coming back and becoming hits again.. good songs that are then made known to people that may not have heard it before.. but there’s also something very nice about a song climbing and showing its popularity without playlist support… a lot of the hits that we have are only as big as they are because of that playlist support…

& I know that they have playlist support currently… but that’s only because of the popularity

Agreed, I don’t see why music should be constrained to the time period it came out. And just because something is new doesn’t make it better!
I will say, it's certainly better than back in 2016/2017 when the restrictive Hot Hits UK playlist had a complete monopoly on everything and you had no hope of even the smallest breakthrough without it.
