Those sales numbers are dreadful, the split & confusion with the release dates certainly did not help. Having said that I absolutely love the album & is definitely in my top 5 favourites , maybe even number 1,

The album reviews have been absolutely amazing & totally deserved so I think Robbie has to be in a really happy place right now.

So far my favourite track on the album is Selfish Disco & I am amazed that is it one of the one of the bonus tracks & did not make the main album, it's such a great song. I also love Morrissey , a song that has a lovely tempo & a chorus that sticks in your head . Both of these songs should have been singles imo.

I wouldn't be surprised if Taylor Swift nabbed the record in the future.

She definitely will at the rate she releases albums. I imagine she’ll get #1s for the rest of her career, and she’s only 36.

The charts elsewhere represent his rash decision to release early. In the UK and Germany it wouldn't be an issue but indeed elsewhere it has split sales and placings.

Westlife have just changed their Greatest Hits date from 13th Feb to 8th May due to scheduling conflict. Do we know who they are trying to avoid? It seems like all the older artists are at it now!

Genuine question: If an older artist doesn't get a number 1 or top 10 album are they more likely to be dropped? Is that the fear?

The charts are very competitive with a lot younger artists in the mix so Robbie has done pretty well for himself given he is in the business for the past 30 years. & does not have a streaming audience.

It will be interesting to see the numbers FEB 6th when the original pre-orders are released.

He would be the first to admit the sales aren't great and comparisons with the Beatles unhelpful and opens him up to endless criticism with the keyboard warriors -I expect he is reading every one of those comments..

However, as Guy says, statistically and over such a long period of years, it is something to be proud of and I'm sure he is. Plus the amazing reviews are lovely to read. It is a great album, I love the musical direction he is going in. His voice has never sounded better. It's all good. 🥰

I think his Management need to give themselves a shake though. If all the messing around with the release dates had resulted in his missing that number one spot, then it would have been a disaster for him. They got away with it but it could have been a different story. If there are more sales to come, there is no guarantee he will get to number one in another week. If there was a strategy behind it, it is a risky one.

I'm sure Robbie will tell us about it in a future interview, 😁

Is the album officially released in Europe yet?

Robbie Williams has made music history - and dethroned The Beatles in the process. The singer secured his 16th number one album in the UK, giving him the most chart-topping albums in British history. He told ITV News how it feels to have beaten the Fab Four with an album that "should have been his second". He also reflects on his daughter entering the world of Hollywood and says he would love to play with Oasis, saying "stranger things have happened".

It entered the Irish charts at #15 , not surprising given the way it was launched . I could not find physicals in HMV during the week . I think their main focus was getting that No 1 in the UK.

The only figures I can see so far for Europe are here , maybe someone else has more info Robbie Williams Chart Positions on Spotify, Apple Music and Other Streaming Services

I bought the CD ZINE because it includes BRITPOP tour photos and album track-by-track interview.

I bought the vinyl because I absolutely love the cover

I bought the De-Luxe CD with the bonus tracks

I feel I have now paid enough to help with the deposit for another new house for Robbie 😂

@Hadji which track would you select for Now 123 out of Pretty Face or All My Life?

All My Life I reckon as it’s the most current song from the album. At least on Now 122 they toned down a bit on the radio 2 artists and shoved them onto the bottom of disc 2 so hopefully they do the same on 123 and I hope they include Blue on there as another radio 2 artist

Releasing further albums would be based on sales rather than chart position, but obviously a #1 looks better if they can get it.
