Total Spotify Worldwide Streams

2,649,331 (+426,674)

Not bad for a Sunday!!

Kylie's 116th most streamed track on Spotify ever

I genuinely wasn't expecting it to show up in the top 100 so I'm very happy about this!

I've still gotta contribute my downloads so I'll do my bit to help!

The Amazon streams must be counting then, if we’d had the 650 downloads from last week plus streams they would probably be Top 35 today :gino:

Honestly I want to give her team a shake. They probably now just think “well it worked for Padam!” :arrr:

Its Sia's team not Kylie's team

Atlantic Records.

However as discussed she can be a slow burner.

Trust her to find the one other artist who insists on releasing on the worst day possible

LOL!

Probably Kylie is moving away from the "I need to score a hit" to more of 'how do I establish myself on streaming" as that's what record companies are looking at these days, and in that sense she's achieved it with this song. As an old chart watcher myself, maybe I need to get out of the "it isn't a hit if it doesn't chart" mentality as well but look at lifetime streaming numbers?

Has she? It hasn’t bothered the top 200, which it likely would’ve done with a traditional Friday release

^yes, it didn’t break the top-200, but the streaming is extremely strong for a single with Kylie (by far not so much for Sia though). Kylie’s Spotify monthly listeners increased by more than a million since the song release and may help Kylie re-enter the top-500 most popular artists worldwide there, so it’s doing exactly that — giving more visibility for Kylie on streaming. Everything else is a bonus frankly. i just wish the song was stronger!
Massive Sia fan here but the duet is kinda meh

I agree overall...and the bolded is probably what Kylie and her record label thought as well when signing up for this duet. Besides which, the duet is so basic I doubt she spent more than a day singing the vocals. This looks even less work than her Neighbours cameo :D

I really hope it holds up and charts this week, #47 is MUCH better than I was expecting even for the Monday update :cheeseblock:

These streaming figures are excellent for Kylie and if she does a Tension re-release in the next few months its great for her in other territories.

I am sure as with most Sia songs we will get plenty of remixes, a sped up version, a slowed down version. The success of the singles in streaming will help her album in May so the effort will be put in i tihnk

The video hasn't been released yet either so that can really enhance the song etc.

I think it will be down to the wire if they chart as they would probably need to sell as much as they did in the last 3 days over the next 3 days and with downloads dropping off it will be hard, hopefully streaming improves and helps it chart.

Today's midweek position for Dance Alone came as a great and welcomed surprise.
I was at first a bit diappointed with the midweek 47 debut, but looking back through the Genuine posts in here by kylie and/or Sia fans that are far more knowledge regarding previous Collabs that both Artists have participated in, add the lost day/s streaming because of the obvious American/Australian release date. add the way Sia has a slow burn approach to her releases and Kylie is still coming to fully understanding the power of streaming and finally seeing this is a very good song, but it isn't a "Padam Padam" type Banger, then yeah, 47 is pretty good. Just hop it manges to stay top 75!!

Current Playlists

451 Spotify

127 Amazon

52 Apple Music

50 Deezer

8 Tidal

Would be good if they released the single version with the video photo on Apple/Itunes rather than just getting lost on the album pre order. Apple and Itunes letting it down so far and that's unusual for Kylie release. Not being on the Sia Dance Alone link with the other sites is baffling.

I am sure they will sort it out. More Apple playlists needed

Up to number 2 on Amazon. Lets see if it true or not.

I guess we have no updates today?

I think it must be “true” if it’s #47 on the chart update, its download sales haven’t been that great and streaming on other platforms is pretty non-existent. Amazon seems a bit… iffy, but if it’s helping Kylie get a chart placement then I’m not complaining :kink:

It might have been just outside the top 200 on Spotify on Friday, not charting there doesn't mean "non-existent". It got over 800k streams WW on Friday and surely good amount from the UK too.
