January 30, 20241 yr ALWAYS hyped for new Charli  2024 is gonna be a good year for the gays and the pop girlies xx
February 20, 20241 yr And we have a snippet! @1760021628715421790 Loving the sound of it :cheeseblock: It kinda reminds me of 'Yeah Yeah' by Bodyrox and Luciana Edited February 20, 20241 yr by Jαsє
February 29, 20241 yr Loving the sound of it :cheeseblock: It kinda reminds me of 'Yeah Yeah' by Bodyrox and Luciana Just came here to say the exact same thing!
February 29, 20241 yr This is a cute enough bop, definitely reminds me of Perfect (Exceeder) and Yeah Yeah though.
February 29, 20241 yr Yeah definitely thinking Saltburn was what she was going for in terms of sound and honestly I’m not mad at it
March 1, 20241 yr Oh this is everything :cheeseblock: Charli's giving c*nty airport cryptid and I'm obsessed
March 1, 20241 yr Oh wow, she’s delivered again! About 2 minutes in I was hooked and am already obsessed! Everything you would want from her.
March 1, 20241 yr Biggest banger created in the history of this world. No but seriously, this was evidently created before Saltburn took off so I don’t think she was inspired by it. Just continues to show that she has her finger on the pulse and is always ahead of trends, more than anyone else in pop right now imo.
March 1, 20241 yr No but seriously, this was evidently created before Saltburn took off so I don’t think she was inspired by it. Just continues to show that she has her finger on the pulse and is always ahead of trends, more than anyone else in pop right now imo. It makes me laugh for you to suggest she's ahead of trends just because her song sounds like a song which was released in 2007 (but just happens to be doing well because of a film it's featured in) tbh this sounds like it should have been released in 2007! #nothatingjustsaying
March 1, 20241 yr Well, yes, that’s because trends come back around? That’s like laughing at anyone who suggested The Weeknd/Dua Lipa were on trend by releasing 80s sounding songs in 2020. It’s very evident that we’re about to reach an age in pop where that kind of 00s nostalgia is going to influence pop and I dare say Charli is the first mainstream artist to tap into that. She was on the PC music movement before any others, she’s always been bold and brave in her pop and led trends instead of following them, I don’t think that’s ridiculous to say at all.
March 1, 20241 yr I'm not convinced that this mini Saltburn-inspired 00s nostalgia is going to become a full blown resurgence, but I'll be the first to hold my hands up if it really does and Charli has indeed tapped into that. For now, this still just sounds like a dated mess to me, although I realise I'm in the minority with that view.
March 1, 20241 yr Oh even after all the pre-release hype it's still a grower! This is so cxnty. :cheeseblock:
March 2, 20241 yr Oh I do like a bit of electroclash so definitely here for Charli incorporating that sound, banger alert <3
March 2, 20241 yr Yeah, it sounds like Bodyrox and I am more than happy for that type of sound to have a resurgence! It's certainly something different and refreshing compared to a lot of stuff in the charts.
March 2, 20241 yr This is absolutely not clicking with me and it's frustrating as really it sounds like something I'd love
