March 1, 20241 yr I don't expect any sort of chart success for it. He lost a lot of goodwill by the end of his last era and he's been gone for a while so I can imagine streaming support will be minimal.
October 19, 2024Oct 19 Only heard this for the first time yesterday and I actually really like it! It reminds me of this: ncTRRG2Ps7U
October 19, 2024Oct 19 Author It's a lovely song, and I certainly think it deserved more attention than it got. Missing the Top 100 entirely, that was harsh... but I think it was difficult for him to get hype/support, so long after his first album era faltered. I think the song was a step in the right direction sonically. It's nice to see it as high as Top 3 on iTunes. It's not managed to make the Spotify daily charts but I'm fairly sure when I last checked his Spotify it was 7th or 8th in his popular list, it's 6th today.

I bet there's lots of people who will have heard this for the first time in the last couple of days and really like it. Just a shame it didn't get any support when it was released, it's without a doubt my favourite Liam solo single. It's a lovely song, and I certainly think it deserved more attention than it got. The media are far too quick to drop support for an artist these days compared to, say, 20 years ago. This song actually got me excited about his solo career again so it was sad that it didn't do anything. I'm not expecting it to chart now but it would be nice if it did, despite the tragic circumstances.

I feel the same way actually, and I am one of those people who didn't take any interest in this release at the time, or was even aware that it existed. :( I just commented in the streaming thread to ask if it has shown up at all in the last couple of days like it has on iTunes. I too would like to see this chart, not for the tragic circumstances, but because it's actually a nice pop song.
October 19, 2024Oct 19 This song largely escaped me on release. It may achieve an official chart position this week.
October 26, 2024Oct 26 Hoped would be higher but I’m glad it charted. I really liked it when I first heard it but been listening a lot in recent times and it’s definitely had a more relevant impact.

Are you kidding me? Like 20 years ago when all the Spice Girls solo careers were being brandished as flops despite all of them achieving several top 10 singles and albums. Victoria "flopped" with a #2 Gold selling single.
October 26, 2024Oct 26 Teardrops has debuted at #85 in the UK this week Nice it managed to chart at least. Definitely his best single.
