Posted February 4, 20241 yr 2 singles from Dannii in the last couple of months has been great as its not something many expected, from the 2 singles we could be the one and thinking about us which do you prefer? Now that she has released 2 singles do you think there is even the slightest chance Dannii will release a new studio album?
February 4, 20241 yr We Could be the One is much superior of the 2 songs. I would not completely rule out a new Dannii album but feel it is very unlikely.
February 5, 20241 yr 'We Could Be the One' by a long way. In terms of a new album, much as I'd love the idea I don't think the passion or drive is there enough for her... so I can't help but think it'd end up being a half-arsed effort if one ever happened :(

February 5, 20241 yr Will Dannii Release a New Studio Album? Yes No It will never ever happen. The last two options - how do they differ? :kink: I haven't got around to hearing Thinking About Us in full yet, although I heard a clip of the chorus and it's stuck in my head. I'd better get a move on and listen. I did like We Could Be The One but maybe wasn't quite as taken with it as others here were.

February 5, 20241 yr On the point of albums I’d love a new Dannii album but I think she’s realistic about what she can achieve at this point, releasing an album would be a hard slog and would need the full on promo treatment of pre-album singles, TV and radio interviews, album launch shows, signings etc., - and really for what? For no singles to chart and the album to go 13-out.

I can't imagine she's strenuously having to commit herself to it. But yeah, I ultimately just think Dannii doesn't want that and the finished product would probably be unsatisfactory/cheap.
February 5, 20241 yr Author I dont see a dannii album been any less successful than for example the last 2 albums by Louise and i think if she pushed hard she could get a top 10, maybe im worng, dannii would have enough of a fanbase to support her in a similar way to Claire Ricahrds from Steps who got a number 2 with her euphoria album, so on the right week and a hard push with multi formats Dannii could get potentially get her 1st top 5 album.

But for the likes of other BMG artists (Shaznay, Louise etc) I think it’s in their overall interest to get new music out so they can tour, do gay prides etc., - Dannii doesn’t seem interested in that so for her it would literally be a 1 week wonder of an album with little overall benefit. Also with how the BMG partnership seems to work I think the artist needs to be all in with formats, tour, merch etc., to make it work rather than just wanting to throw an album out.
February 5, 20241 yr Author Good point, those artists mentioned have toured a fair bit which is probably part of the deal when signing for an album so unless Dannii was up for that it probably wouldnt work.
