July 24Jul 24 Pitchfork just gave it One of the lowest scores in recent times, a 5, which is very low for their standardsI actually thought they were not even gonna review it like they did with the last from Ed, pretend it doesnt exist Edited July 24Jul 24 by Bjork
July 24Jul 24 I haven't listened to this album. I don't really want to. But it looks like it's going to do okay based on the mid-weeks. Probably won't hit 20k though.@Liam Sota - I admire your dedication to the person who appears to be your fave current act. But maybe slightly tone it down, just to save yourself some face?Unless, of course, you are just taking the pi$$ and then job done ✅

Sales are not good but the true test will be once the hate dissipates and people give it a fair listenTom Macdonald gets a load of streams and positive comments... doesn't mean his career aged well. But just like Alex Warren, they have a lot more haters with genuine opinions and you can't discard that fact.

July 25Jul 25 Gave in and finally gave it a listen, eternity aside the new half is very weak, he should of left it as a chapter 1
July 25Jul 25 #1 It's a good family-friendly album. Something I can put on the background and not worry about the lyrical content at all.I want something like this every now and then. Edited July 25Jul 25 by AllStarBySmashMouth
Tuesday at 09:464 days OK here's an impartial review from someone who's not a hater: me. I really enjoyed part 1 of the album last year and 'Burning Down' and 'Bloodline' are two of my favourite songs of 2025. But the new songs (i.e. part 2 of the album released last week) are definitely a lot weaker on the whole than the first part. Singles aside, I really like a couple of the upbeat ones ('Getaway Car' in particular) but the other songs sound a bit beige and boring tbh. I'm a bit disappointed as I was expecting better!

I’ll give a rank by rank Eternity - I’m sure this either resonated in a hardcore way or is the ideal background to a compilation or movie it’s quite hard to this good and powerful so anything than than a 10 would be wrong 10/10 The Outside - It’s alright, a bit more upbeatish 7.5/10First Time On Earth - This might actually be the most powerful song ever created. It’s up there with John Lennon’s imagine. 10/10 Bloodline - It’s great surprised it never really took off in the charts 9/10Never Be Far - Bit so-so this one I like it but overshadowed by the others 7.5/10Ordinary - The numbers speak for themselves the biggest hit since shape of you but a much better song 10/10 Everything - Had to listen to this one again to remember what it sounds like. It’s ok. 6/10Getaway Car - It’s definitely a better song than Taylor Swift’s but not vintage Alex8.5/10Who I Am - Yeah alright. If this was a single wouldn’t make top 100 though. 5.5/10 You can’t stop this - Very cool song 8/10On my mind - The more I hear this the more average it sounds honestly. This song isn’t even on the vinyls or CD 4/10 Overall I’ve upgraded to 9.5/10 Album. The second half is a solid 8/10

Especially having listened to the song. Also, how do you get to a 9.5 / 10?Your rankings add up to 82 / 100, so that's an 8.2 / 10.You say the second half is 8/10, so the two added together becomes an average of 8.1/10.That's some hefty "upgrading" to 9.5
Tuesday at 15:273 days ^ I make it 86/110 (there's actually 11 songs) which is an even lower average score of 78.18/100, so that's 7.8/10 overall! Not sure how he gets anywhere near 9.5
