A decade prior The Verve gave us a handful of fantastic tracks in the form of 'Bittersweet Symphony', The Drugs Don't Work' and 'Lucky Man' among some others but they broke up soon after and Richard Ashcroft embarked on a solo career grabbing several top 10 hits to his name as well. Flash forward to 2008 and the band were back together and released lead single 'Love Is Noise' which became another top 5 hit peaking at 4 in August 2008.. however this was the only hit single as the follow up 'Rather Be' missed the top 40 entirely. Forth the *fourth* album ;) was their second #1 album. They broke up the following year but played at Glastonbury in 08 headling the Sunday over that weekend.
