Still nothing from trippie red or MGK feel sorry for them at this point

MGK's rap songs have never done well over here really (bar 'Rap Devil' of course), people clearly care more for his pop-punk stuff. Trippie Redd in general has never had much success here aside from the TikTok-fuelled 'Miss The Rage'.

And anything appearing on the EP's second day of release was even more unlikely. :P

For total streams not per track. You keep quoting this stat without the context it's a 27 track long album. That's almost double most other artists albums, it's play count is artificially inflated by that which you seem unwilling to recognise.

It's also double the run-time of most other artists' albums. You can play Ariana's entire album over two times in the same time that it takes to play Beyoncé's once. Pretty sure that's a much better way of "artificially inflating" streaming stats, as opposed to putting out tonnes of songs that are over 4 minutes long. Which you seem unwilling to recognise.

Not even anything on the US either, both their popularities have plummeted it seems.

I'd be more interested in seeing the numbers if it was a pop-punk song, that's what the majority of his fans post-2020 are interested in. MGK was selling out his biggest arena venues to date on his tour just over a year ago.

Artemas seems surprisingly low on Apple still - quite low on Today's Hits which will explain it but it's a pretty big disparity between the two platforms, could perhaps hinder its chances of #1 in the future (a la Djo) unless it catches up.

Not in the top 20 on YouTube either

It is pretty fair to quote because most "casuals" don't have the patience to listen to a full 27 track album compared to 13 tracks so to keep them is pretty impressive

Amazon

1. "TEXAS HOLD 'EM" (+ 26, 115 & 279)

1556. "OH LOUISIANA"

Album has continued to climb overall on Amazon. "TEXAS HOLD 'EM" likely has a nice lead when all versions are combined. The rises for "JOLENE" & "II MOST WANTED" bode well to helping them go top 10 in the official chart. I believe "JOLENE" should get there, but think "II MOST WANTED" will likely be top 20 and not top 10 by the end of the week. Although it's still top 10 on spotify with the OCC rules applied so maybe it will squeeze into the top 10!

Nice boost for "TEXAS HOLD 'EM" and "JOLENE" also doing well.

Wait, who was saying Olivia, new in at 10, is bigger than Beyonce?!?!

She must not be a “superstar” anymore either!

Olivia is the most talented for her age I've ever seen. Probably won't ever he as big as Taylor swift but far more talented

״Far more talented" than Taylor? Yeah... sure... And I do like Olivia, but FAR... lol.

Olivia is definitely not more talented than Taylor. She might one day get there one day but it's unlikely.

AGREED!!!!! 100%!!! Compare I Wanna ... Get ..

HIM!!! ... Back? To WE!!! Are (Never) (ever ever) (ever) Getting Back Together. Both similar songs, but I Want... is just so much more sonically interesting, and with FAR cleverer lyrics. I wanna get him back meaning two things at once - wanna meet his mom ... to tell her her son sucks... etc etc. Then Miss American Dream, againa dichotomy of sounds... she's just the most talented person of her age since Vanessa Carlton, or the Beatles!

Olivia is definitely not more talented than Taylor. She might one day get there one day but it's unlikely.

She already is. Her lyrics are far better and her songs more sonically interesting and they don't descend into trite pop as Taylor so often does. Tayloe's lyrics and sound on Folklore and Evermore for example are the utter PITS.

Done some number crunching again and 'COWBOY CARTER' has held up better on day 2 than 'RENAISSANCE' - the number of streams that will count to the OCC chart (i.e. the top 16 tracks with the top 2 weighted down) has dropped 31.0% compared to a 39.2% drop for 'RENAISSANCE' :magic:

Day 1:

3,435,744 RENAISSANCE

4,277,435 COWBOY CARTER

Day 2:

2,088,717 RENAISSANCE

2,952,639 COWBOY CARTER

From this very crude calculation I think it should have a good chance of doing 25k+ in streaming units for its first week.
