January 9Jan 9 OH the familiarity of the instrumental was bugging me and that'll be why, discovered 'Dirge' from Julian's 2000 top 40 hits thread last year so I know it, but not super well. I like this anyway! 'Strange' was the song of hers that made me sit up and take notice and this is probably the one I've enjoyed the most since then.

She performed it on The One Show just after the show paid tribute to Barbara Windsor who had died the night before and they showed some images of her as she performed, and I just thought the song summed up Barbara’s life so well. I’m a massive EastEnders fan as it is and a fan of Barbara Windsor as a person and how much she loved her audience and appreciated her fame. The song still makes me emotional four years on.

I remember the episode after was when Sharon married Ian and they dedicated the episode to Barbara! :lol: an embarrassing time to be an EastEnders fan. Oh yeah I remember that about the different tracking lists now that you mention it! This is the performance below.
