Taylor Swift/Post Malone defend the #1 spot against Sabrina Carpenter and Hozier on the singles chart. New releases for this week include Tems' latest track Love Me JeJe, Normani & Gunna's collab 1:59, Twenty One Pilots' Backslide and Porter Robinson's Knock Yourself Out XD - plus singles from Tommy Richman, Salute/Rina Sawayama, Mabel, Aitch, Overmono/The Streets, Ezra Collective, Fat Dog and Nilüfer Yanya

Taylor Swift's The Tortured Poets Department should remain at #1 for a second week, with new releases fronted by Pet Shop Boys' latest Nonetheless, alongside St. Vincent's seventh LP All Born Screaming and returns from Justice with Hyperdrama, Jess Glynne with JESS and The Zutons with The Big Decider. There's also new music out from PARTYNEXTDOOR, Anitta, Bladee, Iron & Wine, Luke Hemmings, Louis Tomlinson, Neil Young/Crazy Horse, The Fat White Family, Porij, Picture This, Sega Bodega, Sinéad Harnett, Charley Crockett, Accept and Darkthrone

Official Charts Report

She’s working late because she might be Number 1…Sabrina Carpenter is looking to secure her first-ever UK chart-topper with Espresso this week!

The frothy track rises to Number 1 at the midweek mark. Sabrina's long-awaited commercial breakthrough, the hit originally debuted inside the Top 10 at Number 6 two weeks ago, giving the US starlet her first Top 10 hit in the UK.

Previously, Sabrina clocked three hits inside the Top 40; Feather (19), Skin (28) and Nonsense (32).

But it's not a done deal yet! Not far behind is last week’s Number 1; Taylor Swift’s Fortnight ft. Post Malone (2), with less than 1,000 chart units separating the two.

Speaking of Taylor; after her record-setting debut with The Tortured Poets Department, album track I Can Do It With A Broken Heart could debut inside the Top 10 this week (7).

Shaboozey is predicted to gain the first Top 10 hit of his career, with A Bar Song (Tipsy) currently up seven to Number 9.

Mark Ambor’s Belong Together is expected to rise one (11). The Blessed Madonna and Clementine Douglas could reach a new peak with Happier (14), as could David Guetta & OneRepublic with I Don’t Wanna Wait (18).
