June 10, 20241 yr That many people don't know? It's been unavoidable. :D I jest, I appreciate not everyone has followed it.
June 10, 20241 yr Author That many people don't know? It's been unavoidable. :D I jest, I appreciate not everyone has followed it. A lot of people are probably quite deliberately avoiding it. I tried to but seems impossible at the minute. Thank god there's only 25 days left and we don't have the months long campaigns the US has.
June 10, 20241 yr @1800207880601161802 I’m assuming those that didn’t say Conservatives were asked before the D-Day blunder.

Thank god there's only 25 days left and we don't have the months long campaigns the US has.I've not been deep in the interviews and stuff like that, I just want the day to come about. The Euros will distract us a bit.
June 10, 20241 yr Nick Robinson just called out Sunak about the Labour 2k tax lie in the BBC interview. Icon! Even Sunak couldn’t keep a straight face. How does this man still have supporters?
June 10, 20241 yr Nick Robinson just called out Sunak about the Labour 2k tax lie in the BBC interview. Icon! Even Sunak couldn’t keep a straight face. How does this man still have supporters? It's really poor, but he actually was quite confident about his statements imo. The problem with the Tories is in their spending plans they will be reducing lots of services. I can't help but feel at this stage, they know they've lost and this is about damage limitation as much as possible. Be interesting to see if there is a headline tax cut in the manifesto though..

Abolishing NI will be the headline tax cut in the manifesto.
June 10, 20241 yr Lib Dem manifesto looking incredibly strong, seems a fair bit more left-leaning than what we're used to from them. considering voting for them
June 10, 20241 yr Abolishing NI will be the headline tax cut in the manifesto. Where will Northern Ireland go?
June 11, 20241 yr Lib Dem manifesto looking incredibly strong, seems a fair bit more left-leaning than what we're used to from them. considering voting for them Always the way when Labour enter power!
June 11, 20241 yr Funny anecdote about how technology has changed canvassing, and how some canvassers are trying to get around it - @1800446764602003786
June 11, 20241 yr https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c1dd7m3zjxzo.amp Starmer is a FULL ON ESTABLISHMENT PLANT!! I knew it! The establishment want Starmer in and on a huge % to "repudiate" left wing ideas. The greaest manifetso in living histoey, fully costed, far better than Starmer's, is now being attacked by said establishment plant. By ridiculuing it from the plstform of leader, and tying it to the Tories, he's looking to fiscredit major elft wing change forever.
June 11, 20241 yr Always the way when Labour enter power! Although - The Liberal Democrats have announced further anti-trade union measures in their manifesto, including capping donations to political parties without distinguishing between big businesses and trade unions.
June 11, 20241 yr My place is where Starmer is MP and so far I've had 7 leaflets from some guy called Feinstein but nothing else. The leaflets are all about Gaza most of it anyway
June 11, 20241 yr @1800532695195570285 Be interesting to see if anything has changed/ how close Tories/ Reform are
June 11, 20241 yr Interesting to see if the LD manifesto launch yesterday has boosted them a little and the effect of the D-Day gaffe.
June 11, 20241 yr Yeah agreed - the Lib Dems seem to be running such a positive campaign. Hopefully they make gains. Where I am in Chelmsford its basically a Tory stronghold - but I think the LD definitely want to make inroads. The Council went to LD control a few years ago and all i've had through is Lib Dem leaflets. I guess I should be lucky in some respects; i'm surrounded by Kemi Badenoch, James Cleverly and Priti Patel's seats. I just have the ineffective, crap Truss supporter Vicky Ford.
