The equivalent day last year for comparison:

1. Loreen - Tattoo

2. Kaarija - Cha Cha Cha

4. Alessandra - Queen of Kings

9. Mae Muller - I Wrote A Song

17. Noa Kirel - Unicorn

33. Gustaph - Because Of You

34. TEYA & SALENA - Who the Hell Is Edgar?

43. BLANKA - Solo

49. Loreen - Euphoria

60. Voyager - Promise

62. TVORCHI - Heart of Steel

71. Marco Mengoni - Due Vite

77. Andrew Lambrou - Break a Broken Heart

85. Vesna - My Sister's Crown

106. ALIKA - Bridges

114. Remo Forrer - Watergun

123. La Zarra - Evidemment

157. Joker Out - Carpe Diem

Oops!

Worth pointing out that Nemo at No.14 had higher streams than Alessandra at No.4 last year, and Baby Lasagna roughly similar to what Mae had at No.9, the streaming market explosion has just not carried over to Eurovision. And there were also just no really huge songs from this year to rival the Tattoo/Cha Cha Cha effect last year. We possibly missed a top ten with Europapa not being performed I guess.

Olly's physicals helped propel 'Starstruck' to its #31 peak, so he might be able to shift a bit more than 300?

(Although that had the added advantage of having a version with Kylie on it, and we know what her fans are like!)

Given there were multiple formats i'd agree the physical sales way higher than 300...

Unless Liam is confusing Physicals with Downloads... and even then there are about 4 versions of Dizzy charting on i-tunes.

Can't see many people spending £13 on a vinyl of that song or a CD really but we will see I'm sure if the chart ended today he'd be 25-40 but by Friday I highly doubt it.

Tattoo Was a genuine good song irrespective of Eurovision I doubt we will see a hit like that again from the show for a good few years

I think we might have seen a Cha Cha Cha level hit in the Netherlands but for what happened, but the situation is what it is. I'll keep my fingers crossed for a top 40 for Nemo.

Eurovision songs with the mainstream commercial potential of Tattoo indeed come around once in a blue moon, Loreen just makes it look easy somehow.

Just happy to see today that the UK's televote 12 points clearly wasn't representative of the general public.

Anyway, as others have said, there aren't really any obvious hits this year. Nemo is #17 on the global chart, whereas Loreen reached #5.

Regardless of all the drama, I thought the quality of songs at Eurovision this year was extremely poor. Probably my least favourite edition.

Yeah me too, nothing stood out like they have in previous years to mr

but now with tiktok who knows what will happen

that Snap song did nothing on Eurovision or afterwards and then tme passes, Tiktok picks it and it's a hit

Maybe one for another thread but I wonder when the last UK Top 40 by a Swiss artist was.

I suppose technically it was Kygo & Tina Turner's 'What's Love Got to Do with It' in 2020! Tina became a Swiss national in 2013 after giving up her US citizenship.

Looking at the streaming, Nemo should make the top 40 - but maybe not the top 30. With Olly doing relatively well on Apple and iTunes - and having physicals - he could in theory chart - but his physicals weren’t enough to make the First Look Chart so that’s worrying for him.

Baby Lasagna probably hasn’t done enough to make the top 40 - though a handful could make the top 100: those mentioned already and Joost and Bambie Thug.

Oh yes I did think about Tina but I’d forgotten she’d had a Top 40 since then though not as lead artist.

“The Best” got to #23 last year too. Not sure if that counts or not

She's charted twice recently

first on What's Love Got to Do with It, credited as Kygo & Tina Turner

then The Best last year

Maybe Samim's Heater and Yves La Rock - Rise Up in 2007? Also DJ Bobo had a few hits, the latest in 2003.

I thought baby lasagna woukd be the song to chart highest as it feels far more like a chart hit than Nemo.

Eurovision in Amazon Prime (I can no longer access Unlimited Chart):

21 Nemo - The Code

52 Olly Alexander - Dizzy

120 Baby Lasagna - Rim Tim Tagi Dim

146 Joost - Europapa

There are none others in the top 250.

Nemo is looking good for a top 40 spot on Friday. Olly should return to the top 100 and Baby Lasagna should make the top 100 and hopefully Joost too. Still hoping Bambie Thug can make the top 100.

After falling to #2 sometime yesterday, Post & Morgan are now back at #1 on Apple.

Ah, I see it was moved up from #21 to #2 (behind Espresso) on Today's Hits this morning - that'll be why. Now they need to get it onto HHUK.

^Added super high to HH, as track #8

I think they also added Stargazing and Charli-360
