My favourites from Crowded House are the same as before ('Four Seasons In One Day', 'Into Temptation', 'Distant Sun'), but as I charted 'Teenage Summer' this year I voted for them again, a fair amount higher this time - nice to see my vote just about matched again.

Happy to see more voters for A1. My sister was a huge fan and that’s how I knew of them. They had some very decent hits.
Theres a girl group that i voted for that i am surprised are still in !!

The xx would definitely have ranked highly for me so a shame to see them dropping so much from the previous list :( 3 excellent albums + plenty of good solo material while we've been patiently waiting for them to get around to making the 4th and they were fantastic live.

Would also have thrown some points to Biffy Clyro and possibly Bon Iver. Good to see Portishead and Måneskin appearing here too.

Just catching up on these after being away for a week, and it looks like I've lost three more of my acts in that time. I'm surprised I didn't vote for A1, I could have sworn I did. Genuinely one of my favourite boy bands, and their 'Make It Good' album is 100% my favourite ever boy band album, I love every song on it. So much better than their earlier teeny-boppy stuff.

BIGGEST HIT: BLIND FAITH (#5, 2011) COUNT ON ME (#5, 2013) BADDADAN (#5, 2023)

Chase And Status not making it last time :o glad they did this time then, another I'd have ranked highly. Don't think The Vaccines would have made the list for me but their first couple of albums were really good. I don't know enough from Kraftwerk to have voted for them earlier but I think I've really liked everything I have heard from them.

The Vaccines are a great band, seen them live a couple of times and they have great energy.

Chase & Status are probably the most exciting dance band of the last 15 years, they've got so many bangers - 'Blind Faith', 'Lost & Not Found' and 'Count On Me' are my three faves from them.

Another two of mine out tonight oops, only 13 left in! Also a fan of Kraftwerk, 'The Model' is perfection *.*

'Blow It Up' was the first Vaccines song I ever heard and still my favourite of theirs, then 'Post Break-Up Sex' and 'No Hope', while recent BJSC discovery 'Hometown Of Jupiter' was one of those I charted. 'Blind Faith' is my favourite Chase & Status song by some distance, next would be 'Let You Go' and 'Time', and 'Baddadan' was one of the recent ones I charted, long before it became a Top 10 fixture.

Kraftwerk were absolutely amazing. Their '70s/'80s output from Autobahn to Computer World is up their with the likes of Bowie for a flawless run. Trans Europe Express is a phenomenal album and their output from that decade is beyond influential.

They're one of those bands that, the more you understand electronic music and the more you listen to them, the more you realise that they are almost as influential as The Beatles.

Kraftwerk   the first of my top 5 to drop out aw, glad to see that one other person gave them big points too though - yay Seven.

'The Model' (my favourite #1 single of the 80s, even if it does trace back to the 70s) was my gateway into them before eventually getting around to most of their studio albums. Agreed that the run of 5 albums mentioned by Severin is incredible... if I had to choose a favourite then it would be Radio-Activity.

Their influence is remarkable, they're the first to come into my head when I think of pioneers in the electronic world. Eternally grateful for the likes of them, Giorgio Moroder, Wendy Carlos, Yellow Magic Orchestra, Jean Michel-Jarre, Tangerine Dream etc. for paving the way for the kind of music that has shaped my taste quite a lot.

BIGGEST HITS: ROAD TO NOWHERE (#6, 1985)

Swedish House Mafia should have been quite high on my list. Think I forget them as I was more focussing on rock bands.

2 great dance acts out today and yesterday: Swedish House Maffia and Chase & Status. Dan should have voted. :teresa:

I'm sorry, but I find funny JLS finished this high in this countdown. :D

Great to see Sparks pop up in there. Not in my top faves but a very worthy addition.

As for Talking Heads... Way back in 1987 when I started buying CDs, their album Fear of Music was the first I went out and bought. It remains as one of my top 10 albums of all time.

I'm sorry, but I find funny JLS finished this high in this countdown. :D

I'm not sure why that's funny, they were huge for a few years. I'm more surprised that they're a new entry this time, how did no one vote for them last time? They've never been my favourite boy band but they did release a bop or two.

I'm not too familiar with the discography of Talking Heads, outside of their two well known songs ('Once In A Lifetime' and 'Road To Nowhere'), but I do know that Radiohead wouldn't be called Radiohead without their existence.
