Which song will be the first with 0/10 rate ? All predictions are welcome.

I would suspect Galvanise will very likely be a 0.

My personal faves so far are Object Of My Desire and Stronger On My Own.

Average rate : 2.8 / 10

This selection was mostly a torture for ears, that's why my comments are very pitiful. :(

Lucie Silvas was miles ahead with her second top 10 single. Mercure Rev got +1 point boost for cute video with animal toys.

Therese participated in Melodifestivalen 2007 with "The Arrival" (7/10).

"Lover", "Galvanize", "Colossal Insight" are awful, all three songs were a strong contenders for 0/10. But after it I heard very strange "E Talking" thing.

Maybe the next week will bring more positive emotions.

Glad you don't hate 'Take Me Away' at least.

Not a fan of drug references in songs so don't mind E Talking on 0. Some of Soulwax's other songs are good though!

5th February 2005 is very important date in music for me, so this additional post is not related to UK chart. :cheer:

YVA-promo.jpg

Almost 20 years ago my all-time # 1 act girl group YVA performed "Barbie" in Lithuanian national pre-selection for Eurovision. It was impossible to imagine a long music career for all three original YVA members.

In 2005 year YVA girls were newcomers in pop music, in the next years they released 4 albums and greatest hits collection, all three members significantly improved their vocal skills and continue to be in music after YVA split.

In 2024 year Natalija have a strong solo career, Goda is a part of very popular girl group 69 Danguje, even Kristina sometimes recorded new songs with her group Kristal and have small music performances.

Hanson grew up and released good single "Penny And Me", please don't remind me about their irritating hit "MmmBop".

Phixx is an average boyband with not memorable song. Ashlee was worse than her old sister, but honestly Jessica wasn't very successful in my charts.

No surprises in a bottom of ranking, it's dance (Lovefreekz, Commander Tom) and urban (Xzibit, Ashanti) again and again. On the last place we have an unfunny musical joke (Destroy

Rock And Roll).

Edited by Last Dreamer

On balance I think I prefer Ashlee's songs to Jessica's because of Pieces Of Me and Outta My Head which I both liked.
'Penny and Me' is quite good so I'd agree with that top pick. 'Breathe In' I didn't know at the time but I heard it a couple of times out and connected the dots, artist and song title lol. Nice track!

First 8/10 song !!! Delta already had three number ones ("I Don't Care", "Innocent Eyes", "Not Me, Not I") in my chart, but it was impossible to beat YVA debut hit.

"Like Toy Soldiers" is my second favourite single from Eminem, only behind "Stan" (7.5/10).

"What Happens Tomorrow" was very popular in Russian radio Maximum chart, where spent 16 weeks on the top and more than one year in top 20.

Until this rate I never heard any Wedding Present songs before, but knew about their chain of "endless singles" from 1992 year.

In the end we have a single from my least favourite group from 2000s Bloc Party and agressive gangsta "Roll Call".

Hanson were pretty good, nice to see them do well, and most of my big faves dont get less than 4 so that's nice  Scissor Sisters Filthy Gorgeous was one of my least fave tracks on the album, never quite sure why they released it as a single (though obv I rate it higher anyway). Non-dance tracks It Can't Come Quickly Enough or Return To Oz might be rated a bit higher for you, both really lovely 10/10's for me.

I mean, obviously that proved to be a right decision!

That's a decent top 2 there for me. I think 'Almost Here' generally gets a lot of flack cause it's *Brian McFadden off Westlife*. It's a nice duet imo.

Also like the original 'Like Toy Soldiers' too!

4 : Noise Next Door - Calender Girl

3 : Daniel Bedingfield - Wrap My Words Around You

3 : Destiny's Child - Soldier

1 : Raghav - Angel Eyes

Average rate : 3.9 / 10

Easy win for Beautiful South, who had one number # 1 hit in my retrospective chart with "Dream A Little Dream" (8.5/10) in 1995 year.

U2 at # 2 with their second best UK # 1, behind "Beautiful Day" (6/10).

"Lion Rip" - rare time, when beautiful blonde leader's "secret of success" didn't work, maybe their other songs are better.

"The Good Ones" aged badly and was downgraded from 5 to 4 out of 10. Weak and forgettable singles from Daniel Bedingfield and Destiny's Child.

Raghav song is a mix of dance with Hindi music, awful in summary.

My sister was a big Atomic Kitten fan, Natasha was her favourite member. I like only some their songs from debut album. In "Gražios Dainos" chart "See Ya" reached # 5 and "I Want Your Love" was # 9, which is not enough for my all-time top 100 girl group songs list.

Very genres based rate on this week - pop ballad, rock/indie, dance/urban.

I tried to remember my favourite single from J.Lo, possibly it's her debut "If You Had My Love" (5.5/10).

"Bastаrdo" became the winner of this week, possibly will hit top 10 in "Gražios Dainos". A lady in Idlewild clip is beautiful.

Girls Aloud were the one out of first five acts for my "Singles discography" rate, but the majority voted for "Let's Ruin The Year".
