Oh wow, it giving me Holiday music video vibes and not in a good way :(

The green screen and everything just seemed cheap, you could see all the outlines of the people?

I like that she was going for something different, the part where she's walking in the street didn't really focus on her much at all either?

Sorry, I don't mean to be rude, but I couldn't see this issue at all  This kind of Green Screen use always looks like the way this has been executed to me so I think it's just the general style of the video? Aha

But yeah, I am not a fan of this video. This package has been a complete disaster and overall misfire to me. Nothing has connected at all (and it's a shame because I LOVE 'Forget About Us' still)

It's just baffling how bad she is at the business side.

It's painting a picture of things behind the scenes of the band and lends credence to a) Leigh and Jade being a driving force behind their success while the other two were more passive, b) Jade's reluctance to split might not just have been "believing they would have more success in the group" in the sense of really liking it, but more so in the sense of "anticipating at least some of them would struggle as solos" due to their characteristics or work style.

This rollout says Perrie's good at presenting and the performance side of it when she's given a good track and pointed at a performance or an interview. Less good at thinking on her feet, and generally a bit pants at the strategic stuff in the first place re the broader shape of her solo career.

This will go down in history as one of those ultimate WTF were they thinking career killing pop singles.

Not that I think her career would have panned out that much differently, but that's just killed it completely stone dead.

The video really does not give 'new star's second single coming from a 5 #1s girlband budget'. If anything it looks like it's come from someone fresh off a tv talent show.

I also am kinda baffled by the fact that neither of her tracks have been particularly vocally challenging when the ONE thing Perrie was most known for in the group was her powerful lead vocals. She could have given us a dance anthem or even a Beautiful-like ballad or even a cover! A song like this is written for someone with a limited vocal ability, not a powerhouse.

Totally agree! She’s not done herself justice.

This really isn't.... it

So strange that this was allowed to be a single - it's really weak and does nothing to show off her vocal skills.

It’s pretty telling that almost everyone seems to be in agreement that her vocals which are her major strength just aren’t being showcased at all with the material so far.

Hoping we get a rethink to the sound and almost kinda hope she/her team look at comments on socials and try and rebrand in some way. It’s such a shame that this has performed the way it has but in a way it could be good if it forces her and more importantly her team to carefully consider the sound / direction of her solo era.

^ I get you.

I'm kinda scared she says there are 'sister' songs to her singles, I don't want anything else remotely similar to Tears.

Girl give us big power ballads (that are good) and bangers!

It's worrying that out of all of the songs Perrie has recorded and received, they considered Tears to be the best choice for second single.

Tbf I think this needs to flop in order to force Perrie and her team to step it up. :P

I'd be honestly surprised if there is another solo release after this!

This doesnt deserve this amount of hate!
It proved to be a grower for me! I think it's a good song, just not a good single?
