July 15, 20241 yr Haha, I did wonder if my 1 point would be the only one Mission Impossible got... not sure it deserved it but I felt I ought to after adding it to the list

July 16, 20241 yr Didn't get round to doing this but glad 'Get On Your Boots' missed top 50. It also did poorly in the rate I ran last year too. Shame about 'Two Hearts Beat As One' though. Came across that on old TOTP episodes on an TV app during first lockdown and quite liked that.
July 16, 20241 yr Glad that both Get On Your Boots and The Saints Are Coming are both out, probably the two songs in the rate that I'd put right at the bottom of the pile
July 16, 20241 yr Get on Your Boots is truly awful if you were to ask me. Glad it's low on here. Two Hearts Beat as One is decent but quite average for their early period and it's no surprise to see it here but there's definitely worse to come

July 17, 20241 yr Get on Your Boots is truly bad, and to think they picked it as lead single from their No Line on the horizon album!! a bit like Oasis, up to Get on your boots, all their lead singles (proper when there was a pre-album single), went to #1, Desire, The fly, Discotheque, Beautiful Day and Vertigo. But Get on your boots didn't even make the top 10, and kinda marked the beginning of the end for U2 in the singles chart.

July 18, 20241 yr Author Sorry Severin, it seems like the rate is picking on you today! These things even themselves out ofc :)
July 18, 20241 yr I know Take Me to the Clouds Above isn't really U2, but I had to be honest and it is a great track that stands up to a lot here. Much as I love U2's hits, they have a fair few misses.
