So much is made of England's attacking talent but they are not coached like a side who will win a match 4-3. Very, very safe and conservative

This is one of the faves to win???

They are the favourites to win according to the bookies.

England will get outplayed against a top team, they can't keep the ball. They're set up to sneak 1-0’s its just not good enough with the players available. Southgate is not a top manager
Bit underwhelmed by England so far - thought it would be a lot smoother for them.

I’m glad you’ve both said this as I’ve been shocked by how excruciating dull this has been.

The bookies are about to win a lot of money

Edit: Win not lose lmao

My hour and a quarter walk with the Elkhound was far more entertaining than the second half.
3 points is 3 points but they definitely need to put in some slightly better performances if they want to get to the latter stages.

Agreed. This is not a winning team right now.

Surely none of this is new? This is exactly how we play under Southgate. We'll grow in to the tournament and play better, but we protect the lead and drop off. There is a real lack of control and a calm head when under pressure to force teams back, and we were a big naff aginst the press too. Really dull, but int he groups you play for the points. Saka got marked out of the game 2nd half and that meant we lacked an outball.

Uninspiring.

As soon as England arrive on the scene the goals dry up!

An underwhelming 2nd half performance from England but at least they got the 3 points. They'll have to improve against Denmark otherwise there's a good chance that they'll drop points against them and Denmark will be more of a test than Serbia.

I'll take it. England looked fairly good as a defensive team and the threats from Serbia were well dealt with. Not satisified, but good enough opener.
Pickford continuing to have a constant look of "stop making me save goals that you should be defending". :D
It seemed to go well early doors but England lost momentum it seemed. Hoping for a better performance next time.

According to British bookies. Odds are dictated in part by where the money is going. Lots of England supporters will be putting money on England to win, thereby bringing the odds down.
