So tomorrow’s Three Lions streams won’t count for the charts, and they’ll just add an average of the previous six days?

Not sure it'll necessarily be doing that well tomorrow anyway - for the Switzerland match it got to #21 from the streams on the day of the match and then dropped to #193 the next day. I guess it might hold up better in the in between days leading up to the final though.

(and as I say almost every time this conversation comes up I don't think the OCC have ever disclosed how they calculate estimated streams)

^ Apparently it’s not a straight average so it might be up-weighted for the Wednesday surge but I don’t think anyone really knows how it works!
It's based on machine learning, you feed the machine with old data so the machine learns from the old data, then you throw in the new weekly data and can predict Thu streams on the basis of what it has learned. Normal songs are super easy to predict but sudden surges are impossible to.

Three Lions #15 on Apple and #1+8 on Amazon

Amazon also has Vindaloo at #7 but most importantly Atomic Kitten-Southgate you're the one at #74

#15 on Apple is a bit disappointing actually.

Although I think now we’ve got to the final it will continue to chart over the next few days instead of dropping straight out

It’s going big at the weekend for sure. The lyrics mean more now than in 2022, as we are actually in the final again.

No plans for final day, stay in bed, drift away…

If it’s a win it’s No.1 - guaranteed. If it’s a loss then top ten on weekend streams I’d imagine.

Never underestimate the power of that song when England are actually playing well, which for the first time they really did yesterday.

I heard so many people singing that and Atomic Kitten in the street last night, it feels like the feel good vibes that propelled Three Lions to No.1 in 2018 have finally arrived. I thought the Atomic Kitten song had been all but swept away as a novelty but it definitely hasn’t. I just think people had lost faith in Southgate up to now.

I hope they re-record 'Southgate You're The One' for England's next manager too - it will help if they have a two-syllable name of course!

Spotify has updated - 3 Lions back in at #11!

#45 World in Motion

#47 Vindaloo

#57 Sweet Caroline

#114 Freed From Desire

Hope it keeps climbing so she can get a 4th hit at some point when one of the other 3 drops down.

If this is referring to the old rule affecting any song over 3 years old whether it charted or not, they scrapped that. As Pink Pony Club has never charted, it should be treated as having its full streams applied until it has its minimum 9 chart weeks and 3 weeks of decline. Here’s hoping it takes over Red Wine Supernova soon.

Yay at Apple making decent gains now. :cheer:
